iTunes Repair Tool for Vista 1.0
Vista is upon us, and as I understand it the 'Wow' is starting now or something like that. If you're running Vista and went 'wow' when you discovered that iTunes could no longer play your iTS purchased items, worry not. Apple has just released the iTunes Repair Tool for Vista 1.0 which, 'will repair permissions for important files required by iTunes to play your iTunes Store purchases'.This is noteworthy because it marks Apple's first piece of Vista specific code. I imagine we'll see an iTunes rev shortly to make it more Vista friendly, and to include new icons for those wacky new shuffles.

Who cares? This is utterly useless and crap news.. Wait a second, is that even news?

Yeah, TUAW shouldn't cover iTunes news at all... wait a second!
And since Microsoft is Apple's big competitor I think that content is relevant as well. If some people had their druthers we would only take about things that Apple releases, only for OS X and never mention anyone else. TUAW would be much worse off if we did that.
Umm, hello? This article is talking about a patch to an APPLE product, released BY APPLE, to fix a problem with one of THEIR PRODUCTS? Last I checked, the name of this blog was "The Unofficial APPLE Weblog." How can you say that this is not related? Go jump in a lake and stop bothering us.
In response to user (01): Are you kidding me? A stretch? This is The Unofficial APPLE Weblog. Last I checked, iTunes is a program developed by APPLE. Not to mention that there are a good number of readers of TUAW who don't have the good fortune of owning a Mac and read it from their PCs.

This, like the Zune exec leaving announcement, is stretching it for TUAW.
Soon we will have the entire iTMS on Piratbay.
Thank you steve jobs.
I saw some potential of hacks here.
Soon we will have the entire iTune Database moved to Piratebay haha.
I can play my songs just fine, it's playing TV Shows like Lost that no longer work. The audio seems to be okay, but the video is VERY choppy, and eventually hangs iTunes.
I'll try the Repair Tool, but I'm not confident it will fix this problem.
