Found Footage: Baby Chipmunks Prefer Macs Too!

Well the evidence is in, small rodents prefer Macs! I think this one was mislabeled by the original poster. I'm not at all sure, but that looks more like a baby chipmunk than a squirrel to me (please correct me on that one). In any case, it's good to know that the heat generated by the MacBook makes somebody happy.

Update: Okay, I admit it: I don't know the difference between a squirrel and a chipmunk.

Yes, it is a chipmunk. Chipmunks have stripes on their backs, squirrels don't. Squirrels have strips on their tails usually.

That is a chipmunk. And to go a step further, Chipmunks are a subspecies of North American squirrel. They are in the same family.

Here we go again. Gizmodo already posted this and a poll asking what people thought. An amazing number of people think it's a squirrel, when it's a baby chipmunk, which is also known as a ground squirrel. Just open OS X's Dictionary, type chipmunk, and look at the picture. See the stripes? Squirrels don't have stripes.

It's a Golden Mantle ground squirrel, for sure. I see the grown-up ones alongside chipmunks all the time, so I know the difference. Sorry, mate...

Probably a ground squirrel, not to be confused with the fluffy tailed tree rat most people think of when they say squirrel...

You imbaciles, I am 200% sure it is a chipmunk. One just got stuck in our garage a few days ago, and of course it is free now. They live in a rock wall at my house, so I see them all the time. It is a chipmunk.
