Wow, are you guys wrong about that call center in Austin. I worked there for a year and it's all iMacs and Mac Pros and G5 towers. If anyone is using Windows for their work, it is with boot camp. No one has a Dell or HP.

And it is Apple owned with about 20% of the employees working through the Volt temp agency. There are other contractors throughout the US and Canada, but Austin is an Apple facility.

At least at the iPod support center here in Austin, they use iMacs, and not PCs.

Apple actually has an iTunes call center in Austin, so I'd imagine that it isn't a contractor. I'm sure they'll handle the PC calls as well, since the majority of the service will probably be PC users..

Yep, I would imagine the call center is PC. But it's probably a contractor for Apple rather than being an Apple owned facility.

It makes sense that they require PC skills instead of Mac. Let's face it, there are more Windows users and therefore will be more Windows users using the iPhone.

Also, it wouldn't surprsie me if Apple uses cheap PCs in their call centers.
