Apple posts new iPhone info

Lest you think that the iPhone has gotten lost in all the buzz about Leopard, Apple has posted two new sections to the iPhone website. First off is a gallery with some new pictures of everyone's favorite device they can't get their hands on. Also new is some more information about the technology that makes the iPhone so cool.
Thanks to everyone who sent this in.

It says under wireless that there will be a bluetooth headset made for the iPhone? Did we know this?

But there's some new info and videos. I stand corrected.

Is it me, or do all the gallery images suggest the iPhone has lost its glossy full facia bezel? the edging looks matt now?

David, yep, we knew this. Steve mentioned it during the iPhone intro back in Jan

What happened to two finger zooming and all that? Did M$ steel that patent or what?

...and if you look closely, it appears we get one of our first looks at the "SIM tray" that's been so talked about, but is it just me or does it appear that the SIM isn't flush and sticks out a bit from the phone? hmmmm....

Yeah, what about that "new, remarkably compact Bluetooth headset"?

@ibob
you sure? cause there isn't track or gap next to it, like with normal hold switches...but maybe i'm a dumb (;

hi kory,
i think i remember Steve holding that button at the macworld keynote to lock the screen, so he could demo the "slide to unlock" feature again ... if i wasn't a lazy man, i would go check!

Yes, the "thing" mentioned by #7 is the sleep switch/button. It is what Steve pressed to wake up the iPhone for his demo.
I believe the sim card slot is between that button and the headphone jack. If you look at the iPhone section of apple.com at the iPod feature section and click on the "video" demo, you can take a look at the top of the phone, and it appears to me that there's a bit of a visible slot there.
I'm surprised people don't remember the Bluetooth headset. Pretty much just looked like a little black stick. It's definitely shown in the video of the Jan keynote.

For UK readers just came across http://www.cheapest-iphone.co.uk for good links and reviews
But I have just found out that the phone is only available on o2, carphonewarehouse and Apple. Not sure if that is a problem, but at least most people have a carphonewarehouse where they live!
