Missing Sync for Palm 6.0 adds Yojimbo notes, Treo SMS, and more
As a Palm user I've been jealous ever since Missing Sync for Windows Mobile added support for syncing notes from Yojimbo last year. Fortunately, Mark/Space has finally stepped up to the plate and the newly released version 6.0 of Missing Sync for Palm adds Yojimbo syncing as well (Mark/Space's own Notebook and Entourage 2004 are also supported for notes). Other new features include some Treo specific features for importing video as well as the Treo's SMS message history. Also new is video encoding support. All in all this looks like a substantial upgrade for Palm users, particularly those with Treos. The Missing Sync for Palm OS is $39.95 and an upgrade from the previous version is $24.95.

I’ve used Missing Sync with my TREO for years. Can’t wait to trash it when I have my iPhone in 12 days! Any one else doing the same?

Steven...
“This is stupid not to announce ANYTHING”
You said a mouth full! What in the world is going on? Why all the cloak and dagger stuff with the data plan prices? Are they really that great or very bad? Apple doesn’t seem to mind annoying a lot of iPhone buyers by keeping the pricing secret.

Wow - after looking over the list of new features, it appears that as the owner of a Zodiac I have no need to upgrade!
Here's a question, though - has anyone done a program (with Palm conduit) that syncs notes automatically between Palm, Mac and iPod?

I'm pissed. I paid full price to get Missing Sync for my dash. T-Mobile gives me a Dash upgrade for free. Missing sync charges me again, this time an "upgrade price." So I paid $40 at first + $25 upgrade fee. So it costs me $65 for some crappy sync software? UGH. I need an iPhone or a nokia phone w/ isync support. What a bunch of crap. I hate Mark/Space.

The Yojimbo integration has been present with the Blackberry sync for a while now.

CAUTION!!! FALSE ADVERTISING.
Be sure to download the demo first, their site says that iPhoto works with treo 680, when it fact it doesn't, it is discussed on their forums.
Additionally I was told by their sales staff that I wouldn't need additional software to sync non-english data, that is also not true. Also the sales staff told me that the software is not bassed on open-source software when in-fact it is.
Download the demo first and be sure that it does everything that you are planing to pay for. Also it is a bit rediculus to pay $40 for a product and not have good tech support, and have to rely on hacks to get the software to work.
The mac community really needs to get together and write an Open Source app, the foundation is already there ( piolot-link )...if only I had cocoa skills.

I just bought the Blackjack, because I don't want to pay at least $500 for a generation 1 iphone. I bought the missing sync software, but now my powerbook G4 no longer sees my wireless router. Any suggestions?
