Gadling details the necessities for an iPhone camp out
While our latest blogger Chris Ullrich has dug up some details on how AT&T stores are going to handle crowd control on June 29th, Justin Glow at our sister blog Gadling has gone the geek route by laying down a complete list of Must-haves for your iPhone camp out. I really hope things don't get this desperate around the Colorado stores as I hope to score an iPhone in just under 9 days now, anyone obsessed with grabbing Apple's latest gadget might learn a think or two from this list and be able to wake a bit more rested than their competition the morning of the big day. From tents that provide power for charging your gadgets to - no joke - portable toilets, Glow has you covered with what is probably the most over-the-top, über-prepared survival guide for iPhone Day.

While that list might be useful for some, most people will be waiting inside malls for the iPhone as thats where most apple stores are located. I don't know about you but security at my mall probably wouldn't let me put up a tent, and def won't let me drop my pants and take a crap with that porta potty seat in the middle of the mall.

I, too, live in Colorado and I'm hopeful that between 4 Apple Stores and many, many AT&T stores that I won't have to camp out. I have never been to a "launch event" before and I can honestly say that I just don't have enough geek cells in me to camp out in front of a store for a phone.
I work across the street from the Cherry Creek Mall which has an Apple Store and across the other street is a major Cingular (now AT&T) corporate store. I am going to start going over to both places around Noon on the 29th to see what the lines are like. If the lines at both places get over 10 people long then I'll pick a location (likely the Apple Store in the cool and comfy mall) and park in line for the remainder of the day.
