Hold yourself over with the iPhone VR
What did I do when I was forced, inhumanely, to wait for my slick new (at the time) MacBook Pro to arrive at my door in all its aluminum-y goodness? Why, I turned to Apple's MacBook Pro QuickTime VR to ease the anticipatory pains and tide me over 'til the doorbell rang and the heavenly delivery man made my dreams come true.Well, if you're desperately eager for the iPhone and canna' take it any longer (imagine that was a bad Scotty impression), then here's some Tylenol-style relief: Apple (finally) posted a QuickTime VR of the lovely device, giving you a 360 view of iPhone in all its glory. Play with it, spin it around, check out all the cool angles and curves -- and quickly hide the window when your wife walks in.
Don't want her getting jealous.
Thanks MikeE!

I don't understand why people like Jay make such a big deal about iPhone news. If you don't want to read it then move to the next article. The unofficial APPLE weblog should not have to cut back on its coverage of a major Apple device that has been highly anticipated for years just because some bozo is too lazy to scroll down to the next article.

Why is the back of the phone splittet up in two parts a large grey and a small black one? On aspects of design, this is not realy consequent, and not ive-a-like. There must be a function behind it, and i strongly suggest it's the battery. An art-historian.

June 22 2007 at 5:35 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyI've had it with this torrent of posts about the goddamn iPhone. Seriously TUAW, why not set up a separate blog - The Unofficial iPhone Weblog?
I'm a long-time reader and just removed this site from my bookmarks. I've had enough.
Anyone find it strange that the time on the phone never changes through the entire demo? It stays on 9:42. Some segments are much longer then others.
