For whatever it's worth, the London Soho came 'way first, New York's SoHo second.

And there were 8 of the iPhone displays around the outside of the cube, 2 on each side. No way any passerby couldn't get a glimpse at a giant iPhone. They're about 2 feet tall.
#5 -- there is a London Soho and a New York City Soho; this was the NYC one.

June 24 2007 at 2:02 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyStopped by the Palo Alto store, and they've got everything updated, too. Not surprising, since usually they do the switch nationwide on the same night. Has no one noticed this?
The iPhone big-scale models in the front window are pretty slick. It's basically just a 30" display turned on its side, and the Mac Pro that's running it (look close, you'll see if off to the side) has the display prefs set to portrait mode so they can show the huge demo reel.
Also, all of the screen savers on the demo macs in the store are updated with an iPhone reel. It's funny to just look around and watch the people who are watching the screen saver. It's probably the most-watched apple store screen saver I've ever seen.
I was Apple Store Eastview last night... I didn't think it was odd... they were wearing the shirts, not a big deal.
