Help make Frenzic an iPhone app

Frenzic is an addictive puzzle game from the folks at The Iconfactory and ARTIS, which we took a look at back in February. It's really quite fun, and would be right at home on the iPhone (or iPod for that matter). I can see myself playing Frenzic while sitting on the train.

The folks at The Iconfactory pitched the idea of Frenzic for iPhone to Apple at WWDC, but they could use a little love from you, The People! Check out this post at gedblog to learn how you can pester ask Apple to make Frenzic an iPhone app. Good luck, guys!

I like Frenzic a lot, but unlike Tetris, which could be played for a long time, it seems to max out my brain at about 9 minutes, after which it's mostly luck. I wish the speed up rate were a little bit slower -- then I would be truly addicted.

(Oh, and just because I couldn't find it written elsewhere, when pieces appear in the center, they appear not just as a color but also in a particular orientation. If you're trying to put a piece in a circle and it's barking at you, it's because you're ignoring the orientation of the piece in the center and trying to place it in a place that is already occupied by a piece of the same orientation.

Will iPod games be able to play on the iPhone? If so, could this game not just be developed as such? Are iPod games only from approved developers? I guess my question is: Is Iconfactory asking for a special deal that no one else gets to develop on the iPhone?

Personally, I think they should (and eventually will) release an SDK for iPhone, but until that time, I don't really see why any one developer should get an exclusive deal. I can think of other apps (of more use than a game) that I'd like to give that exclusive deal to.
