Enough with the iPhone already
Judging from the uptick in comments/emails we have been recieving as of late there is a small, but vocal, set of TUAW readers who don't give two figs about the iPhone. While that might make us just a little sad, it is understandable. Cell phones just aren't for everyone, and we here at TUAW care about our readers (seriously, if I could hug you through this computer screen I totally would). That's why Erica whipped up this iPhone free TUAW feed a few days ago. Since the iPhone coverage is picking up I thought I would remind everyone that it exists, so if you want your TUAW iPhone free just subscribe to this feed (it uses Yahoo! Pipes, so it won't update as fast as our regular feed, but it will contain much less iPhone).
TUAW loves you.

OMG are you kidding me? This is one week out of your life you have to deal with a ton of iPhone news. Get over it! I for one want as much iPhone news as I can get. Bunch of crybabies.

Seriously, enough about the three people who are tired of hearing about the iPhone. Can their precious eyes just not take any more? Are they experiencing excess fatigue from having to scroll the page down further?
Can you make a feed that omits all the posts about your iPhone-free feed please?

A feed omitting all posts about a feed omitting all posts about a new apple product on an apple blog.
My head. She spins.
On the plus side, who the heck is that guy (in the Apple ads) anyway? I wonder how one auditions for the iPhone ads, or if Apple just *contacts* you. Bob was it, wasn't it?

1) You told them you "feel their pain".
2) You gave them a reasonable alternative.
3) The iPhone is the hottest story in all of technology, let alone Apple (this is The Unofficial Apple Website)
4) Some people just like to complain.
5) Screw 'em. More iPhone please!

It is not you writers who should be apologising for doing your job. You will always get fools that want to post derogatory comments after every article.
This is not a Mac blog, nor an iPod blog, this is an Apple blog, and therefore anything Apple has a right to be here.
I don't have an interest in a Mac Pro, but you don't see me going along and moaning about pressing the down button just a little bit more when I see a Mac Pro article.
Grow up.

What do we subscribe to to get ONLY iPhone news?

Honestly, the ratio of iPhone/iPhone-allergic people (what I call them) posts to iPod/Mac posts is disproportionate this week. However, I am not really bothered by this since it is probably the most anticipated product in Apple's history since Mac OS X.

you know, I wouldn't have that much of an issue with covering the iPhone as it's totally understandable, it's just that there are a ton of unimportant pointless posts (like for example who's on some writer's contact list)

Yeah, the iPhone coverage is getting annoying now. I was excited about the phone when it was announced, but lately its been overkill - especially on places like Digg :
"iPhone has a browser!"
"iPhone comes in a white box! wow!"
"iphone has a charging lead! exclusive photos!"
"review of iPhone in Farmers Weekly!"
"I was just looking through the Bible and saw the words I and Phone on the same line! OMG how freaky is that!"
OK, maybe not the last one ;) But its getting that extreme. Its a phone. A good phone, with a nice form and brilliant OS. But ultimately, its just a phone. From the coverage, you think Steve Jobs had just invented the cellphone. Erm... I dunno about the US, but in the UK we've had cellphones for like 20 years. Its a nice phone. I'll buy one. But come on...

Ridiculous. Why don't you call yourselves the Unofficial Un-Apple Weblog? Your comments rank right up there with Enderle's. Get onboard with this or get a new name.

Well, it isn't so much that I am tired of iPhone new s (though I am), it is more that us non-US people can't buy the damn thing anyway.

Enough with the iPhone mania. Don't give us an OPTION for an iPhone free feed.
Just stop writing this crap that only MacSheep can digest. One article per DAY is more than enough.

I LOVE Apple and all of it's products. The iPhone is just another great revolution and I could never get tired of hearing about it. Although, I would like some update on Leopard and whether or not iLife '07 and iWork '07 (with spreadsheet) will be built in the new OS.

I would just suggest combining some of the news. It's getting rather silly posting about stuff that can easy be found on Apple's own site. The people that are really interested in the product know where to look.
@14 Forget about! About doesn't care about computers anymore. Say hello to the new Apple Inc. Notice the lack of the word computer. ;-)

There's a difference between iPhone news and the stuff that's been getting posted as iPhone news. You could have a post that was
"iPhone? iPhone iPhone iPhone. iPhone, iPhone iPhone iPhone iPhone. iPhone! iPhone iPhone? iPhone!"
and people would love it. I'm all for news. If you can give us a feed that didn't have all the stupid iPhone posts (who gives a crap who David Pogue has on his iPhone. STFU!) but still useful news, that'd be awesome.

Walt Mossberg just wrote that if you shake the iPhone, sand comes out, which goes straight into TUAW commenters' v*ginas.
(pardon the french, but come on....if you don't like the coverage, don't read it, or how bout this: start your own blog!)

Glad to have the iPhone-free feed, but it doesn't go far enough; I think you should hive it off into a separate blog.

Thank you for adding the feed. I would just like to say that I am really interested in the iPhone, it's just that I am in Canada so it isn't coming here at the moment. So some of the stories are a bit overkill.... But then again, so are some of the readers comments! Please try to be a little more considerate and not so narrow in vision. We all like Apple? Right?

GOOD LORD! Stop it with these "so you don't care bout the iPhone" posts!!! They're everywhere!!! I don't care if some people don't care about the iPhone!! If I don't like something and it's being talked about I ignore it! Why can't they all do that? This is making me get tired of tech blogs these days... these stupid posts!!!
