If you're in line with Greg - or any other iPhone line, for that matter - this may be of interest to you. According to the modmyiPhone forums, Apple Store employees will be distributing color-coded wristbands to iPhone customers. Shoppers will be let into the stores 50 at a time until the supply of iPhones ends. Forum poster Poetic Folly claims to know that his local store is getting 500 units.Other details as reported by modmyiPhone:
- The line will form at the entrance of the mall closest to the outside of the Apple store.
- Wristbands will be distributed in the line at 5pm on Friday.
- The first 50 customers will be let into the Apple Store at 5:50pm and then more groups of 50 following that until the store closes that night.

that appears to be mall specific (the line formation part). My mall is doing it indoors

the fact that the iphone will not be able to send MMS messages was enough to kill the deal for me. i was all set to switch, get rid of my Moto Q and jump on in, but no MMS? how else am i supposed to get naked pictures of my girlfriend on my phone? isn't that the only reason i'm so attached to my phone anyway?

@ xGenius,
Well presumably email. If the plans have unlimited data and a limited number of SMS messages, I would think I would find myself using email more.
The catch of that is of course, if you're messing to other people on phones, you'd have to SMS. Unless they have an iPhone where could email them as part of your unlimited data.
I guess you could be old-fashioned and just call them on the phone ...

xGenius - go buy your girlfriend an iPhone too, and she can just email the pics.

I would hope that MMS will be available later in a firmware update. Unless Apple/AT&T have some business reason not to include it? I can't think of any reason for them to purposely withhold that feature. My guess is not enough time to develop and push out the iPhones by June 29.

Just about every cell carrier provides their subscribers with an email address to which you can send your intended "text message," or picture. Works just fine, at least with my verizon phone.

The city of Southlake, in Texas, won't allow camping in the city, so people can't camp out waiting at that Apple store. They also can't form long lines outside.
