just got my iphone home. going through the process of activating it and its the biggest pain in the ass. Even though I'm an existing customer, AT&T is telling me that its going to take antwhere from 1 to 6 hours to activate my phone. That's completely unacceptable.

This guy can barely open the box, I don't see how he's going to be capable of using the actual device.

Uhmm.. Maybe show turning it on, activation, running through some demos?

Bah! Who opens an Apple package with their keys? Right across the surface of the box?! Blasphemous... It could nick the packaging!

Local Boston news said that AT&T's system is down (at 7:30 EST), requiring manual intervention. Whether that was for sales or activation, they didn't say.

Sorry for the cross-post, but this is seriously funny!
A YouTube user's comment on the video:
"Geek porn! "C'mon, iPhone baby, you know I love you. Let's just slip that box off and get you more comfortable ... now let's get you out of that tight plastic wrap ... oh yeah, iPhone, that's it!"
You guys are great. :-)"

Moose I had the same reaction. What sort of a fuckhead (pardon my french) uses a key to open his iPhone packaging? He just reduced the future value as a collectable by 50% at least. I could not believe my eyes. He obviously does not deserve an iPhone.

Wow, get a life people! It's been seen on Apple's site for the last 6 months.

After Doug's geeky dirty talk about undressing the iPhone, I think I need a manual intervention.

Just got an iPhone, connected to iTunes 7.3, went through the activation process, now waiting for email to confirm my activation, until then the iPhone is just paper weight; I mean all the features even the iPod feature is locked until I receive an email from AT&T confirming my activation. Called AT&T, they say that this may take up to 24 hours for activation to be completed becuase their site is receving too many hits!
