Line Walk, AT&T Store NYC 17th & 6th

Btw, i'm curious - how many of you "settled" for a 4GB after learning the 8GB were sold out? I'd love to hear responses from areas other than Manhattan (just wondering if the stock was similar at different AT&T stores)

That's where I was at starting at 1pm. I thought I was #39 in line, but a few new faces started showing up ahead of us. 6 hours later I entered the store just after 7pm only to learn that all of the 8GB models were sold out! They only had 40 and i missed out on one by two people. Instead of settling for a 4GB model, I ordered an 8GB with the knowledge that it's supposed to ship on Monday, July 2nd with priority freight (hopefully) arriving the next day.

Suffice to say, alot of dissapointed people when we left declaring all the 8GBs were sold out. Oh well - hopefully i'll have mine in four days. Meanwhile, i'll just live vicariously thru everyone else via the blogs...
