Steve shows up for iPhone launch
Steve made an appearance at the Palo Alto Apple Store just moments after the West Coast release of the iPhone. This video, which shows Steve pushing his way through the surprised throng, captured the tail-end of his visit.Watch as the blows off the guy who tries to shake his hand on the sidewalk. We don't love Steve because he's nice.
Thanks, Kenneth!

It looks to me like he did shake the guys hand... why do people have to be negative about him.
I've met him, and he seemed really nice. He may be difficult to work with, but that normal for people that have high standards...
:geesh:

HAHAHAHAHAHA, I can't believe Zach hugged Jobs' wife. LOL, that's some funny sh*t!! About two hours after Jobs left, I arrived at the door, and saw Zach with his arms outstretched, trying to control the crowd, so I said "oh, you wanna hug me? OK!" and gave him a big hug. I wonder how many hugs he got yesterday just because he had his arms outstretched.

it really seems he shakes the hand.
what could he do anyway ? to refuse because "I'm fucking Steve! I have standards." ? of course not.

No wonder Gates hates him: his wife is way hotter than Melinda.

Somebody at TUAW has discovered comic life ;)
Steve shook one persons hand, but he did miss the guy. Hey, there's tons of people there, how could he possibly see every extended hand?

I was going to say something about how weird it was that he would be rude during a publicity appearance but then I watched the video and realized that if he did stop to shake hands he would have been there all night and a bunch of people probably would have been trampled. Still not sure why he was there but his behavior seemed reasonable to me. His wife even hugged the doorman.

The guy that tries to handshake him is actually a friend of mine from New Zealand that works with me as a Software Engineer. I called him today and he said Steve did say "Hello" but as we was trying to avoid the press he skipped him.
Anyway, check my last post for the full story. I'm also featured there :-P (http://mywheel.net/blog)

Man, the link doesn't work for me neither. When I load the page in Safari, in the placeholder for the video I see this small text:
You need Quicktime 7.0 or higher for viewing this presentation. Download Quicktime from here!
And yes, damnit, the page and video works correctly in Firefox.

Pretty ironic, using Safari the video doesn't work, it tells me I need to upgrade to QT 7 at least. I'm running QT 7.1.6. On Firefox it works great.

I checked out the disputed video. He does shake hands with people. And this is written by someone who hates Apple but loves the iPhone. Mrs. J is a hottie.

I think we should be respectful of Steve, his wife, and women in general. I was disappointed (but not surprised) to see comments like #5.

I fail to see how it's disrespectful of someone to point out that Mrs. J is hot. It may, however, be borderline disrespectful for me to point out she has a great butt.
