iPhone: The Musical
David. Pogue. Is. Awesome.Aside from the obvious reasons -- creator of the "Missing Manual" book series, New York Times Circuits columnist, all-around-great guy -- he does one thing no other tech pundit can pull off: he parodies well-known songs and turns them into tech classics. He usually debuts a new one every year at Macworld, and each year they get better and better.
And Pogue's done it again, this time creating an original music video called "iPhone: The Musical" about the drudgery of owning a Phone of Yesteryear, longing for an iPhone, and finally making the glorious purchase. Both the song and video -- some of it recorded with guest singers at the Apple Store Fifth Avenue iPhone launch -- are incredibly clever and humorous, and definitely worth a watch.

Man, all day long I deal with hate mail, nasty blogs, and unpleasantness--this blog post SO made my day!
(P.S... I didn't throw a real phone into the water! If you look closely, there was a camera cut right there. What REALLY fell into the water was a rock!)

Wow is that cool! Pogue's Posdcasts are awesome, THE highlight of the week, but this is even cooler! I'm sure he gets an Oscar for it! LOL

Cheesy, cringe worthy and god damn awful. That video was pretty bad. It's just a phone, i'd quite like one but then i'd miss the built in flash from my k800.

I told David about how the AT&T part made me laugh uncontrollably...
He said the NYT video people held it back for couple hours because they thought there were audio problems. Haha!

Very awesome! Loved the creativity and brining in others from the iPhone line to sing as well. The AT&T part had me rolling.
