So, basically, every single time I use jailbreak on my iPhone, they're going to release a software update the next day?

#1: Macroy, you didn't follow our advise and begin wearing anti-Apple tin foil on your head?
Tisk tisk! :)
Don'tya just hate their timing? Try to take solace in the fact that it wasn't something like you bought the old 'n busted iMac one day, and the new hotness aluminum + glass ones came out the next.

I hacked my phone, and so the update failed (no real surprise) and am now restoring with the new firmware. I'll probably hack it again if jailbreak still works.

Yep... I'm having to restore too... Here's hoping my vrecord files remain in tact.

Update: iPhone's back up and copying. ITunes reported some kind of problem with the restore and the phone restarted again, but it re-activated without incident and was normal after startup. Apple really needs to get those APIs finished so I don't have to keep hacking the damn thing.

Don't forget to back up the pics you've taken with iPhone first before updating; it's the one thing iTunes doesn't backup and restore for you.

Bug fixes? That's it? Really? Uhhh... when are they going to add features? It's been quite a while. I'm pretty disappointed in Apple, what are they doing exactly?

I'm holding off until it is confirmed that jailbreak/iFuntastic/iPHUC and 3rd party apps are still working with this new release. Hopefully someone will find this out and post it Soon(tm).

Apple HeadFoil™?
Dave, do you have an Apple part number on it? I'm trying to find it with no luck...

Is there a way to pull the images off when using a PC? I can't seem to copy images from my iphone at all. Just email them.

@ rp:
It's been what, a month and a half since the release and you want new features? Give me a damn break.

Crap, didn't think about pics. I guess I'm lucky I didn't take any today. :P

People on the Apple Discussion forums are reporting louder volume from the device after the update. I am noticing this as well. Using speakerphone and listening to a voicemail was considerably louder.

@Matt Massey
To copy images (I'm assuming you mean the images in your camera roll), just connect your iPhone to your PC and open my computer. It should show up in the "Scanners and Cameras" section, at least it does for me (I'm on XP). I forgot to do this before the last update.

One possible bug fix:
I am posting this on my phone, while iPod app is playing and no safari crash.

Personally I am happy that they prefer to fix the bug before adding some extensions. For now the apps I have are fine.
Of course it could be even better if there wer new cool things but I don't want to have an app when the energy used to develop it could have been more focused on making the suystem more stable, secure, ...
Having plenty o "features" with big bugs and security holes would make me regret toi have put this bunch of $$ on this device

I just applied the update to my non-hacked iPhone and tried my sure fire trick to kill the music while surfing. (fark.com and open a bunch of tabs)
While it seemed to be more stable at first, it did eventually kill the tunes.
