iPhone Software version 1.0.2

That's right, fellow iPhoners, iPhone Software version 1.0.2 is now available via Software Update in iTunes. This release, and I quote, is composed of 'Bug fixes.'
Not too much to go on there, but I'm updating my iPhone right now.

I'm trying to do a restore now, and itunes won't stop downloading the software...in other words, it's now downloaded 102mb of a 91.2mb file.
anyone seen this before? any ideas?
i don't know if this is the result of some server side change or 1.0.2, but my imap email (corporate exchange server) now shoes the whole list of public folders in the iPhone mail app. it didn't do this before....

Nice feature
Changes noticed so far:
iPhone remembers saved VPN credentials now.
AT&T just sent out a text message stating that they are doing away with the uber-long paper bills.
Many are reporting faster Safari... I can't really tell, had no complaints before.

Installer.app has been updated to reflect the new firmware. w00t! The page for it doesn't reflect that yet, but the appropriate changes were made in the installer script.
It appears that the 1.02 update solved my problems with the Apple BlueTooth Headset. I just could not get the damn thing to pick up incoming or make outgoing calls. But now it works. Hooray. If only Apple had shipped this before they sent me a replacement headset under warranty...

August 22 2007 at 1:23 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyHave any of you noticed any poor reception of wi-fi after the update? My safari is really buggy to connect and hold a connection now, even in my house! That's the only big difference I see now.

August 22 2007 at 11:09 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down Replyhaving read every "iphone 1.0.2" google search result, this is what's been observed (but not confirmed) so far:
* faster wireless speeds, better transitions between safari pages
* antishake algorithm added to camera
* youtube unlimited access
* better battery life? lower power consumption?
* louder volume for movies, youtube, voicemail, all?
anyone seen anything else?
