So long, 4 gig iPhone, we hardly knew ye

The 8 gig iPhone is a big hit, it would seem, and now cheaper than ever. What of the 4 giger? Well, a quick look at the iPhone's updated tech specs makes it plain for all to see, the 4 gig iPhone is going the way of the dodo. Engadget points out that you can still get your hands on a 4 gig model for $299, while supplies last.

My wife and I bought two 4GB iPhones over the weekend. It was *very* nice to walk out of the Apple store yesterday with a $400 credit.
It's the first time I've ever left an Apple store richer than when I entered!
I grabbed one!

whooo hoo!
guys, I think this is the biggest deal we're gonna see from Apple in a very, very long time. I had been on the fence about the iPhone, but when I heard the 4GB were going for $299, I ran out of work and bought one immediately. It's awesome...and since I already have a (now) "classic" iPod (w/video), I am not really worried about space issues.
It's awesome, in California it's around $324 with tax...
what a bargain!
thanks Apple...
Glad to know I have one of the only 4gb owners :) very happy

I think I'll buy a 200er to use up here in Igloo land! Yay!
Refurb? Heck yes!
Another few weeks, and I can get a refurb 4gig and a freeware unlock app for less than 1/2 of the price the early adopters paid!
The writing is on the wall. When have you known Apple to offer a higher end product with only one option. The 16gb iPhone is on it's way. They had to keep something to announce with the Beatles announcement next month.
