Leaked German T-Mobile 3G iPhone ad?

Okay I'll be the first to admit this is pure rumor, but the French Mac site MacBidouille has posted (translation) what appears to be a leaked T-Mobile (Germany) advertisement for a new 3G iPhone to be released on November 12. The specs include HSDPA/UTMS 3G data (up to 3.6 MBmit/s) plus 16GB of storage for €499 (~$684). I have to admit that this smells right to me. It would help explain the US price drop and we already know that T-Mobile will be the German carrier. Furthermore, a 2.5G EDGE phone just wouldn't cut it in Europe. On the other hand, it misidentifies the iPhone as an "iPod," but since Steve Jobs himself occasionally makes the same mistake it wouldn't be that surprising on an early draft. If this is true, the question is: will a 3G iPhone hit the US before Christmas?

The Ad says "with intgrated Ipod" and doesen´t state that it actually IS an Ipod.
But adding HSDPA to the Iphone is the best thing Apple could do to prevent it
from sitting on he shelves till the lights go out

This is a fake. For two reasons: First, because of the wrong writing "Apple iPod 16GB". Even if Steve may spells it incorrectly, there always some guy from quality assurance.
The second reason would be visible, if the image as a whole would be visible. Because at the lower of this fake image there is the T-Mobile CI. But the spacing between the dots is incorrectly. This can be seen if it is compared to the German website at http://www.t-mobile.de

I'm so excited. I can't wait to hold it in my hands. I was already thinking about to get the new IPod Touch but if this is really true (3G + 16 GB) I can wait for another two month!
And even if they cut the price after 2 month in Germany as well, I wouldn't mind. It's worth the price.

Actually, T-Mobile in Germany is named T-Punkt ( http://www.t-punkt.de/ )

Other differences from the US model:
16GB
Included stereo headset (maybe bluetooth? i don't think they would advertise included headphones)
500 Euros ($750), but with an iTunes coupon.
Also, it looks like it has visual voicemail, which means t-mobile is also upgrading their network

@6
Now the German iPhone buyers can get punkt, like we did here in the US.

@Felipe
That is wrong.
The mother company is T-Com. This company is responsible for all stuff related to a carrier (land line, ISP). This is newly advertised as T-Home. Then there is T-Mobile (even in Germany) responsible for the cell phone business. T-Punkt is just the point of sale, which sells everything. It doesn't matter if it is related to T-Com or T-Mobile. If you buy your stuff, you will never have to deal with a T-Punkt.

about the price: it is not uncommon that Apple sells hardware for as much euros as dollars (sometimes even more!) so a $499 product will most likely sell for 499 euros. Plus, since it is only comming out later this year it is quite possible another version comes out, (8GB replacing the 4GB and 16GB replacing the 8GB)

I think that ad's a fake, but an iPhone v.2 with 16GB and HSDPA is very much likely.
About the price - you have to remember that over here in G prices already include tax: so 499€-19%=404€
404€ ~556$ - hence we would roughly be back at the old 599$ price Tag - an that's also very likely!

Well. First of all, T-Mobile is called T-Mobile in Germany.
Perhaps I'm wrong but is it right that on the picture it says "phone" under the phone button at the bottom, but it says "einstellungen" (the correct translation of settings) under the settings button. Who would translate the buttons in two languages? That's kinda strange.
I also think that an iPhone v2 will come but that ad seems to be a fake. Although I would be happy if it wasn't because as a german i'd rather have an 3G iPhone in Germany.

iPhone XL?
Hmmm, I'll take two iPhone Xtra Larges, and an iPhone Medium (ladies cut), and maybe an iPhone XXL for those times after Thanksgiving meals.

It's real. They went through the troubl to translate the UI (look at the laber under the settings icon, that's much longer than setitngs and obviously in german).
iPhone XL (look just over the price) is a cool name, considering many people doesnt know what 3G/HDSPA is. Also it will be thicker than the iPod today

If a 3g iPhone hits the U.S. I'll be sad.

My friend Sam bought an iPhone from AT&T on Thursday. The salesman took him to the side and told him that a new iPhone would be out before Christmas and would have the high speed network and 16gb. Now his comments make sense.

@ 13 and 6. T-punkt or "T-point" are official DeTe (deutsche telekom) stores where you sign up for DeTe or T-Com services. T-mobile is a generic term for their Handy's or Cell phones as known here in the states. The networks or festnetz are D1 and D2. And if this thing is real, i'll have one as my D1 handy's work fine here in Atlanta switching for a local sim. No offense to Geohot but this is really what i was waiting for! I think the banner add with the dots must have been a cut and paste but i have no doubt it's real or soon to be. I know of a guy working in an O2 (another network) that can unblock the phone software of most of the current european phones.
(and now to something that has a seemingly hostile tone but is only directed at the u.s. based telekoms)
European phones and services are about 2 gen ahead. (i've been told in a spirited argument with an AT&T lackey who's not too worldly, that it's due to aging infrastructure and cost prohibitedness)
And why in the hell is it, that in the states, the caller and receiver are BOTH debited minutes wether texting or talking? (It's not 1993. antiquated cell pricing structures) This is not so overseas. If i call from my D1 net to a D1,d2,o2, loop, e+plus, debitel, etc i'm the one that's debited minutes.. not the receiver of my call. Granted i pay a little more if they are not on my net but it is definitely cheaper to call there. Here that T-Mobile stateside? I had to go through 3 different plans before i found one that was cost effective for me. (i guess if the masses aren't aware then ignorance is bliss)

iPhone XL is just the name of the calling plan, it has nothing to do with the iPhone itself!!!
T-Mobile Germany uses this addition for other plans as well, like Relax XL!
