Apple posts video about iPhone 1.1.1

Just in case you don't have an iPhone, or have one of those naughty unlocked iPhones, and want to see what all the fuss is about the iPhone 1.1.1 firmware update Apple has posted a video tour that highlights all the new features. The video even features the same dude as the original iPhone video tour.
I am all for Apple releasing all these cool video tours, and I hope this is just a taste of what we'll see with feature Apple releases (Leopard anyone?).

Hey! Wake up! Are you at TUAW asleep at the wheel? The update's been out for hours now. You have a member of the dev team on staff. Gizmodo is all over this story. This is supposed to be your beat. Where are the updates? What's the scoop?

So anyone else notice Safari now has cookie settings? And you can change the sound of a new SMS to other (equally annoying) sounds? No normal ring for a ringtone yet, though

@Daniel
With fast enough broadband the movie loads quickly enough for you to skip past the wi-fi advert and the ring-tones rubbish to get to the juicy bits at the end...
A few missing shortcuts and functionality added.
Looks like Apple has a store room full of tiny software goodies to dole out from time to time, whenever they want to push a voluntary update.

Oh yeah, and by default double-tapping spacebar now gets you a period and a space. Woo. I guess.

I hope this fixes the battery issue to. My phone has never shown a full charge and the usage menu is garbage without a full battery. After all these months of a phone, I still show zeros across the usage stats.

I can't believe they didn't fix the "only one text message at a time" BS....

anyone else have iTunes on their phone showing the price in British pounds? Also, my keyboard seems much more sluggish.

Apple needs to point out the improvements they're making to the iPhone OS because people like me are making a decision on whether the mobile version of the iTunes Music Store and a few bug fixes is worth going without my installer.app book reader, navizon, apollo, sendsong, wedict, five dice, summerboard, rSBT, etc. etc. etc. I'm afraid this update falls WAY short of offering me something better than third party developers have already given me. That means I won't be participating in their (revenue generating) mobile iTunes Music Store, at least for now.

I mean that you can't send a text message to two or three people at the same time, I have to type "rehearsal at 8 in Park Slope" 4 times every time there's band practice. What a pain.

Broke my iToner... damn! Apple you need to change your Ringtone policy. This one makes me a hell of a lot madder than dropping the price of the iPhone. It only makes Apple look like M$. I hope iToner can fix this soon? It's my music, and I should be able to use however I want. DO YOU HEAR ME STEVE JOBS!!!!!
