Rumor: Apple to launch WebApp consolidation portal
Today the UK Register reports that Apple is preparing a WebApp catalog. WebApps are apparently already showing up in the recent downloads feed although the page they supposedly link to has not yet gone live. I downloaded the latest feeds page and did not personally find any reference to http://www.apple.com/webapps but maybe I just checked at the wrong time. If you find otherwise, let us know in the comments. An official Web 2.0 apps feed would be very nice indeed.
Thanks to Erwin Harte.

October 11 2007 at 3:30 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyI discovered this site on my ipod touch and I now do 50% of my surfing on this device. I am totally hooked. I surf more, and I come back and refresh this page every hour. Mobile surfing has never been funner/cooler. I love the touch as an ipod too but I really got this to surf and reseach stuff on the web. I can't wait for the hack so I can see what else this littlle bad boy can do, and I hope what I read about the hacks and flash coming soon are true.

October 10 2007 at 4:51 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyIf you check the RSS feed there is a list of apps "for iPhone". So far they don't link to anything but hopefully that will be updated soon.
I've been looking for a comprehensive list of webapps. So far it's just blog posts recommending this or that. I'm glad this is coming down the pipes. Hopefully it will be sooner rather than later.

I don't own an AppleTV, but enjoyed reading about ATV hacking as well.
I'd be willing to bet that nobody forced you to READ this story, or for that matter forced you to OPEN the story add a useless comment, type in that hard to remember password, and press the "Add Your Comments" button.
See, the beauty of this thing called the "internet" is that you can skip content you don't want to see - amazing.
My God, a web page with links to other web pages.
The greatest application in years, I have seen the Light.
How much did it cost to develop?
[tired of iPhone hype mode off]
