Found Footage: iPhone bricked? Still useful
Because an Apple commercial isn't accepted by the Apple community until it's parodied, here you go. NeoBen on YouTube has made a short parody of the new iPhone ads-- but they're about how his iPhone got bricked with the 1.1.1 update. And how you shouldn't worry if yours got bricked, too, because there's still a lot of different things you can use it for.
(I'm told that on these video posts, I sometimes drop spoilers in the second paragraph, so watch the video before you read on.) I just want to say that while I'm impressed that he really did wedge the iPhone in the door, I'm a little less impressed by the iPhone dropping out of frame in the hockey shot. I know your secret, Ben! That iPhone's not really bricked! But the video is still funny.

As an Apple fan and an iPod Touch (jailbroken) owner (will buy an iPhone once my Verizon contract ends), I can still say this is quite funny. It doesn't totally hate on Apple, but it makes a funny point, and it's comical. Props to that guy.

Oh wow, an Apple commercial parody. How original. I can't believe no one ever though to do that before, you know, with how stylized and recognizable their commercials are...
Lame

I'm sorry, but if you bricked your iPhone it's your own fault. Apple put warnings multiple times in large bold letters that it would happen. Quit blaming them for your stupidity. That said, I do believe that it should be able to be unlocked and opened from the start without punishment.

Why are people still blaming Apple for bricking? Why not start saying that Apple and AnySim bricked my iPhone??

I just wanted to point out that it is quite possible that it is not the iphone itself that is holding the door open. The is possible kept open by some other mechanism while the iphone is just leanig underneath it to look as if it is wedged.
Still, iPhones are pretty damm sturdy. I actually stepped on mine by accident on a gravel road (horrible experience, not recommended) although the corner of the glass cracked, the little guy still works perfectly. It is now wrapped in one of those silicone cases and you can't even see a scratch on it!
