Apple launches iPhone Dev Center

Today Apple added a new section to the Apple Developer Connection: the iPhone Dev Center. Now, before you get any fancy ideas that Apple is shipping an iPhone SDK a little early, this Dev Center is aimed square at making it easy to create web apps for the iPhone, and web apps only, at least for the moment.
Sample code, tips, tricks, and video from Apple's recent iPhone Tech Talks are all gathered together to make the life of an iPhone developer a little easier.
Thanks to everyone who sent this in.

they were always going to happen, there was no caving in, steve even said at the dev conference they were working on a suitable way to get the apps on securely

I can't login under my .mac user name either. It says that .mac names are no longr allowed. This is kinda a dumb. They did the same thing with my access to Apple Sales Web. Why sell something I can't use. I have a select membership and I can login under the regular developer page just fine.

".Mac accounts can no longer be used as Apple ID accounts for this application. Please create a new Apple ID using a different email account to access this application."
How backwards is THAT? :-P

@1: are you kidding me?? web apps are a joke... 1 they depend on an external site, so they are only as the weakest link in the connection whether it be your internet connection or theirs.. if their site goes down your app doesn't work. 2 it's an incredibly MASSIVE security issue in terms of apps that handle sensitive information like ssh
Webapps are a joke. Sorry if you don't think they are because you could care less, but it's true.
@4: Same here.. because the headings are images and gmail doesn't load images by default I didn't see the "Webapps" thing until i clicked "show images" then my heart dropped.. not much though.
they are coming out with an SDK, but in Febuary.. i was with hopes thinking 'omg apple surprises us again!' but alas it wasn't true.

Login page is ugly and hard to read... at least with IE.

Web apps are trash for iPod touch users since we aren't always online. Native apps FTW.
