BBC introduces iPhone-optimized Podcast Page
The iPhone mobile music store doesn't serve up podcasts, so where are you gonna go for a fresh hot bowl of Auntie Beeb? Why, to the BBC itself, silly. The BBC's radio labs blog just announced a new iPhone-savvy webpage that offers simple phone and iPod touch browsing.
If you're on a touch or iPhone, you can just go to bbc.co.uk/podcasts and save yourself some extra typing. The site recognizes when you're visiting from an iPhone and they plan to expand this service to other hand-held devices.
Thanks, Chris

THrough this I also figured out that you can listen to any podcast by entering in the podcast feed address into safari and then clicking on the most recent podcast and it'll launch in Quicktime on the iPod Touch without the need to cconnect to iTunes....
is this a discovered thing or no? Because this is the first I've ever heard of it, to listen to podcasts on the go!
example, enter the address for CBC hourly news into safari on iPod Touch/iPhone:
feed://www.cbc.ca/podcasting/includes/hourlynews.xml
then click on the first feed, and then u'll see the "play" button.

Do I have to be on wi-fi to listen to these? I can get the page to load, but no play button.

@10: Something seems to have changed on the BBC site. The playe button is indeed gone.... so you can't really download any show at this point.

Hi Guys,
Sorry some of you can't get this to work. It's worth noting that currently this is not supported over EDGE in the UK. It seems that O2 have a proxy server than replaces content on the fly to minimise bandwidth usage. This is why all the images are low quality and the play button doesn't appear, as the MP3 is stripped from the page.
Hopefully O2 will change there policy soon.
