Safari 3 Beta Update 3.0.4 for Windows

With all the updates coming out of Cupertino, some were bound to slip under our radar, and it doesn't help that this update is for Windows. The Safari Beta for Windows has been updated to 3.0.4, and according to the release notes many bugs have been squashed.

New in this release is the ability to resize the Safari window from any side, new hot keys, a new font smoothing setting, and more. There are also some security related fixes in this update, so if you're running the Safari Beta on a Windows machine you should really update.

How many people out there are using Safari on Windows? Sound off in the comments.

I use it only when testing sites I've built. However, the latest version 3.0.4 Beta doesn't work for me (Windows XP Pro). All I see is a completely corrupted screen.

I used Safari for Windows beta since its release in June. However, the most recent update (v. 3.0.4) was the most unstable version for me yet. I uninstalled it today...couldn't take it anymore. I hope that Apple is able to address these issues. I'd really like to see it work well.

I occasionally use Safari on an XP machine at work.

It works better than the previous builds. Yay.

I use Windows at work so as soon as I head about Safari for Windows I started using it because it's all I use on my PowerBook. The Windows version is/was pretty buggy though and I couldn't use some pages (like my Vodafone mail page) so I had to use Firefox instead.

And yeah, how come we can't resize windows from any edgae in Mac? I'm used to it now but it used to really bug me!

Just updated, seems a lot faster compared to any beta version so far. Also, the FTP support is nice, and startup time is (nearly) comparable to that of Safari for OS X.

Great update :)

Sorry, I prefer Firefox. A browser that actually has the features I want/need/use. In my opinion, Safari still looks terrible on Windows. I like the webkit engine, but the Safari front-end is terrible.

Is this some sort of trick or scam or something? How come you have authentic aqua scrollbars on the Windows version? On the Windows beta 3.04, there is an "up" button on at the top of the scrollbar and a "down" button at the bottom. In your screenshot, you have it like a mac, where there is nothing at the top, but both at the bottom...

I love Safari! It runs so much faster that IE7 and Firefox. It would freeze some of the time while watching videos or playing games, but this has been fixed with the new update. Does anyone know when it will leave beta for windows?
