Safari 3 Beta Update 3.0.4 for Windows
With all the updates coming out of Cupertino, some were bound to slip under our radar, and it doesn't help that this update is for Windows. The Safari Beta for Windows has been updated to 3.0.4, and according to the release notes many bugs have been squashed.
New in this release is the ability to resize the Safari window from any side, new hot keys, a new font smoothing setting, and more. There are also some security related fixes in this update, so if you're running the Safari Beta on a Windows machine you should really update.

I try to use it when I'm on my windows machine. Hopefully this makes it a little bit more like Safari on OS X.

Installed Safari on Christmas Eve to try something new and firefox had been acting buggy recently. I love it and it works great on vista and my comcast homepage which firefox did not work properly on. Slightly different but now that i got used to it! ITS GREAT!!!!

I use Safari on my PC to sync bookmarks to my iPhone, but do most of my browsing in Firefox.

I used it for quite a while but one night, after several crashes, I launched Firefox and haven't really launched Safari again.

I use safari on windows as much as i can and I try to use the search function, but i do not even use safari on my mac, but I feel that I owe it to apple to try to use their software and help make them some money with it all. I actually just got bootcamp to work tonight and installed safari, because without it, well it just wouldn't be complete

I use it at work, where I'm forced to use a Vista machine, though it seems to crash very regularly. Let's hope this latest update proves to be the aspirin to my proverbial beta headache...

All lies. Safari for Windows still can't authenticate against my works' ISA Server without crashing, despite the Mac version of Safari getting past it fine.
Seems to be even less stable than the previous beta.

I may or may not have installed it on my parents computer and then removed all links to Internet Explorer. Am I conditioning them for a Mac? Maybe. Do they now understand how to use their web browser more intuitively? That would be a yes. Do they want their internet explorer back? That one is a resounding no.

I run parallels at work.. a necessary evil.. so when i open links etc from my email, i have my default windows browser as safari.
Sorry firefox, i like safari better (rss reader hands down the best).

Today I was demonstrating VMware's Unity mode that can display WinXP programs right alongside MacOS programs. Because I use it as the default browser in WinXP, I opened Safari in WinXP and showed folks how it could run right alongside my other open MacOS application -- which happened to also be Safari. So, using VMware's Unity setting I found myself with the MacOS and WinXP versions of Safari right next to each other. We all had a bit of a chuckle.

I've been using 3.0.4 for a while via the developer connection. I haven't checked if this is a newer build yet, but I've been happy with it. Pages definitely load fast and I haven't had so many crashes as past builds. I use it everyday and I have no urge for IE now. And I haven't even gotten my first Mac yet.

I downloaded the beta awhile ago, but I've been so used to Firefox I never got the hang of it. Maybe I'll give it another try... Is Safari really that much better than Firefox? It would be nice to have my bookmarks synced directly to my iPhone though since I change them regularly. AND since I'm getting used to Safari a little on the iPhone. I guess change is good... :) Just wish I had a Mac!

I use Safari on Windows a little as possible because I don't like to se Windows and because if I am browsing the web I'd much rather be using a laptop. Also as much as I hate it there are those IE only site I visit once in a while, and for web testing.
But it's a welcome addition to the PC world, imo.

I wasn't before due to the blurry font issue and lack of ad-blocking plugins, but the new version looks snappy and renders sites faster and somehow prettier than other browsers.

Alright so I downloaded it... am I dumb or is there any way to get my bookmarks in a sidebar in Safari? I'd like to have my bookmarks listed (what would look like iTunes) on the side while still viewing pages like in Firefox. Instead it takes me to a separate bookmark page. Am I just not seeing this option anywhere?

Blonde moment: where is the download link for the updates? I found the link for the entire safari, but not for the updates only.
Also where do i set up safari to auto check for updates?
