Rumors: Is iPhone firmware 1.1.3 about to debut?

TUAW reader Josh Zeller tipped us off to this electronista post suggesting that a big firmware upgrade is about to bow, bringing voice recording and disk mode to the iPhone. If true, these major features would be welcome additions to the ever-growing iPhone user base. On the down side, every firmware upgrade comes as a roadblock to the third-party application community, requiring a new jailbreak. And yes, this would require a new jailbreak despite the possible disk access. Apple traditionally only grants access to the media portions of the unit's onboard storage.

How much do we believe this rumor? Apple has been good about bringing out firmware upgrades every few weeks, so if you wait just a little while, pretty much any firmware upgrade rumor comes true. As to the voice and disk details? These rumors have appeared for nearly every major firmware update--so eventually they may just be right... if you wait long enough.

1.1.3 works. the break works great, but I think that this allows you to do most things you wanted to do in the first place. no friggin flashplayer though

Hey,
When I plug in my Iphone to Itunes today then it asked me to upgrade to 1.1.3, which after I done so, my Iphone is no longer can be use anymore, my Iphone was 1.1.2 version with next sin card, what should I do now, my iphone is dead please helpâ€¦â€¦â€¦â€¦.

Hiya thought id let everyone know Ive just downloaded 1.1.3 ive not really had chance to have a real look around but as far as i can see, its all good. i may be wrong but it seems ok to me.

-who the hell in Apple left these ITEMS OFF THE SOFTWARE?

I RETURNED my iPhone until I can get these features:

AND the CONTACTS access (whether from Voicemail or other access point should allow full menu access; like Text messaging, editing, etc.

AND EMAIL READING SHOULD allow turning widescreen TOO just like the Browser and the iPod functions.

would the disk and voice recording be the same or similiar on the touch? And what does the disk mode mean exactly? Is it like a flash drive where u can store power point and stuff?
