Automatically paste your way to bookmarklet happiness
Awesome TUAW Reader Tom King enjoyed using my javascript iPastelet (his phrase--isn't it great?) and created this interactive tool that automates the bookmarklet design process.
His web form lets you specify the text to paste and the bookmarklet name. You can even skip the "Paste here" confirmation alert and paste into the first available field. Click "Make iPastelet", drag the link into your bookmarks and you're ready to sync.
Cool stuff. Read more about here. Great job, Tom.

Better yet... I made one for my email, called it "e," and placed it as the left-most (first) bookmark on my Safari bar. Then... hit Apple+1 and it will insert it, since Apple+1-9 launches the bookmark in that position. Thus no mouse required.

Here is a way to install bookmarklets on the iPhone from within the iPhone. It's a bit of a pain, but hey, at least you don't have to sync.

If you install "Install Bookmarklet", then run it on a page with more bookmarklets, it will modify the links to those bookmarklets to install using this page.
If someone has a hacked iPhone, and wanted to take some screenshots to make the instructions more clear, I would add them to the page.

I really like this idea for a bookmarklet. However, I thought it was kind of weird how you made your post for this smart little bookmarklet, yet it does not work for the bookmarklets that the iPastelet tool generates. It would be pretty cool if you could figure out that little problem and fix it because you did, after all, make the post in a section devoted to the iPastelet tool. Thanks!
