NYT: Obama is Mac, Clinton is PC

It's no doubt that most people vote on style rather than experience. Today the New York Times technology blog compared the two Democratic front-runners in the 2008 election to the "Get a Mac" ads. In the post, they said that Barack Obama was similar to the Mac (when they compared his website to Apple's style), while Hillary Clinton's website style was similar to that of the PC.

The NYT interviewed several people, including Alice Twemlow, the chairwoman of the M.F.A. program at the School of Visual Arts and a Mac user. "With Obama's site, all the features and elements are seamlessly integrated, just like the experience of using a program on a Macintosh computer," said Twemlow.

It is no doubt that the candidates in this year's elections are using technology to their advantage. As an additional and interesting note, the NYT endorsed Hillary Clinton as their pick in the 2008 election. What do you think? Be sure to sound off in the comments.

If you want to keep the money you earn in order to BUY Apple products, for Christ's sake, don't vote for Communist Clinton.

Heck yea Obama is a Mac!

If by Mac, you mean rockstar...

With recent primary wins, Barack Obama is fast achieving rock star status on his way to the Democratic National Convention in August.

"Hope Changes Everything" is the latest grassroots music video tribute to Obama created by two supporters from Los Angeles and shows how grassroots contributions on the Internet from A-list hollywood celebrities to Will.i.am of the Black Eyed Peas and gospel choirs are reinventing the political process during this important election year.

Maybe I'm slow, but I'm hoping some of you are being sarcastic... because anyone who chooses to vote for a presidential candidate solely on what type of computer they use, what type of computer they are compared to... or what their website looks like for that matter- is a complete IDIOT.

It's no doubt that "it's no doubt" is not only grammatically incorrect, but a weasel phrase.

If you absolutely must make assumptions in order to write your post, next time try "There is no doubt."

Uh-oh. The Mac Avenger's been a fanboy since the days of the II+, but I'm worried that the above comparison means that Clinton will get 90+% of the "market share" today, and Obama only 5-7%! ;o)
