Where in the world are Apple's missing 1.3 million iPhones? Iran? Holland? South Africa? Yes! Lots of other places too.
We asked for pics and you answered: iPhones from around the world, from countries where the iPhone isn't even sold with service. Canada makes sense, as a quick trip across the border will land you an iPhone. China also makes sense, as it wouldn't be Hong Kong without a gray market plethora of unlocked iPhones, would it? We got reports from almost every part of the globe, and put together a nice little gallery to show just how popular this gadget is -- service or not. Where there's a hack, there's a way...

TETHER ! I am traveling around right now and I want to tether with the iphone! I have tinyproxy working half the time, but is this still the way to go? I heard something about proxy directly through SSH...
any insight on this out there?

I tried both and use tinyproxy, quicker than setting up the ssh every time, would be nice if there was a better solution though.

That is a cool collection of photos. Some of them don't really show proof of where they are, but others are quite artistic.

The world is a small place indeed.
iPhone Czech Republic (23 of 84) is using the Twitter web clip I submitted to webclipme.com.
Just a simple Twitterific bird on a white backdrop.

Funny how they blot out faces but not the phone number on that screen.

Yeah. They really are missing iPhones.
Sometimes I feel Apple does not care about international customers at all . I mean each time I have a question about my computers or have a problem with them. I don`t really know what to do. There is no real support on Apple`s website.
Apple supports in Asia are usually not responding , or can`t speak english ... . So I end up calling an apple support in USA which takes a lot of time and money.

Great idea for the gallery! This is begging for a Google Maps mashup and a Flickr slideshow. (hint, hint.)

i meant that in some posts of tuaw, the authors can't imagine having readers from all over the world.
this post, with all those comments from all over the world should be evidence.
