Misu 1.0 is availble
Last week, we mentioned Misu, a nifty little application that allows you to share music between iPods. Basically, you connect two iPods (in disk mode) to a Mac running Leopard and let Misu do its thing, blending their contents across both iPods. At the time it was in private beta (though we had an "in" for TUAW readers). Many of you downloaded Misu and provided feedback to the developers. So much so, in fact, that they were able to issue the 1.0 release in less than a week. Cool!
Head on over and grab your copy. Misu requires Leopard and a single license will cost you $19US.

This app just cuts out the "middle app". Instead of copying to HD first, then copy back to a different iPod, this just does it all in one click (merges one with the other), pretty decent actually, works GREAT!! Especially if you have a friend with an iPod and there is music you want to "evaluate" from it. ;-)

The app looked awesome, but it wouldn't work on a PPC so I was out of luck...
...I'd even consider buying it... if it would work for me :P
Mine says i need to send them a note that i put it on my website. i dont have a website. anyone else know what to do?

Not to mention, you can't boot an iPhone or iPod touch into disk mode.
Misu 1.0 works with the iPhone and iPod Touch :)
Keep in mind Misu lets you transfer music between iPods, not simply just an extractor for recovering your music.
I hear 'disk mode' and I don't think iPhone and iPod touch, sorry. Good to hear, I guess.
How are those two things different? You can still use a utility to get music off an iPod when it isn't a crisis. I 'recover' music from one iPod and put it on another. *Especially* since I have to use a Mac as a middleman anyway.
I'm sure some folks will find utility here. Just not me.
Holy shit, and there was me thinking TUAW had given the whole day over to ES and her iPhone obsession. Thanks for the break Dave!
