1Password updated with anti-phishing support

It's been six months between major upgrades to browser credentials manager and all-around swell pal 1Password, and the Agile team has not been napping; the new version 2.6 offers anti-phishing tech courtesy of integration with PhishTank.com, compatibility with SSB fave Fluid, and a more streamlined password-changing option to avoid the proliferation of old credentials.
Single-user licenses of 1Password are $34.95 and 3-license family packs are $49.95 (otherwise known as $35 and $50; can we agree that pricing downloadable items as if they were sportscars or boxes of detergent, while psychologically valid, is darned silly) and upgrades from 2.5 to 2.6 are free of charge for most users. MacHeist II bundle owners are covered for this upgrade, however those who got a free license via Macworld's Mac Gems promotion will have to cough up the dough for the new version.

It's worth noting that MacGems 1Password users do get a 15% discount on the upgrade until May 15,

1Password has not been working for me lately. E.g. its not working on phpbb logins like http://forums.macrumors.com/

@ramond: We made several changes to the Restore Form feature and in the early 2.6 betas we had several issues that were resolved in the final 2.6 release. If you are still using a beta try upgrading and see how it goes.
If that is not the issue, double check the username and password designations in your saved form. Lastly, try saving a new form. I tested these last two suggestions just now and my macrumors login is working fine.

as David Teare's post above illustrates, one of the other things i love about 1Password (besides how great the software is) is that they are an active, energetic member of the mac community. thanks for that!

Thank you for the "psychologically valid" link. It is funny that the research paper about various pricing methods ($5.99 vs $6.00) is sold for $31.50 :)

Just a quick note to let people know, the latest version of 1Password kills the NetNewsWire 3.5.1 RSS reader (the program is brought down to its knees) - to resolve this, at least for the time being, go into 1Password's Preferences, Browsers category, and uncheck NNW's check box.

Thanks for the heads up!
It turns out the Anti-Phishing feature in 2.6 greatly slows down NNW. We are planning to disable phishing protection for NNW in the 2.6.1 release as we did not expect it to have such a huge impact.

2.6.1 is now available and it should fix this problem.

Thanks a lot; that was fast:D It's always good to see a developer respond that quickly to user requests.

I think the problem with macrumors.com and hotukdeals.com is that if you save the form using the small quick login type form which is at the top right of every page, then if you click reply when not logged in it shows a whole login page which your saved info doesn't work on probably because the field names are different. Or maybe the other way around.

I'm a big fan of 1Password. It's an excellent utility. I hope they add a feature where you can retrieve your passwords when you're not at your own computer, e.g., a Web-based version. Or perhaps that adds too much exposure.
