Found Footage: Band brings multiple instruments to iPhone
If you're musically inclined and the owner of a jailbroken iPhone or iPod touch, keep your eyes and ears out for the impending release of Band (video here), the latest app from Moo Cow Music (the mad scientists responsible for Pianist, Guitarist and Drummer). Coming soon via the ModMyiPhone sources, this application promises to put all your musical fun into one touchable tool.
You'll be able to record and play back your compositions, which is bound to make you the most popular person around (as if the iPhone itself wasn't enough for that).

Ok, now this just BLOWS my mind... that is AN awesome app.
Imagine... you are at a coffee shop, and this melody comes to you... and you really need to try it out. No problem, take your iPhone out, start the app and start playing it right away.
Look very forward to trying it.

I have the beta of this, and I gotta say, it's f***ing awesome. It works as well as you'd imagine, and there are even a few new instruments available already.

This program is absolutely amazing. My biggest question is ... are all these amazing programs going to be available when Apple finally unlocks the phone to SDK applications. I am getting a bit confused when I see these applications that run on Jailbroken iPhones (which mine is not). I mean obviously some people put some major time into this program. I just hope I get to use it without hacking my phone.

MooCow music is basically one person (which is even more amazing) who does almost everything (I think I've seen him ask for samples, but that's about it). His current applications (Pianist, Guitarist, and Drummer) are amazing, but this new one blows the roof off. I don't know, however, if he's going to release via the App Store or not. I guess it depends on if he's allowed into the program... I can't wait for the release of this app - his programs are just mind bendingly good...

Thanks for your kind comments. To answer some questions:-
I _am_ but one person, it _has_ all been done by myself (even the samples), and it _has_ taken me hundreds or hours to write.
This is going to be a Toolchain (ie. available now, and _free_) release. Releasing it on App Store will depend on Apple getting round to letting me pay them $99 to join the dev program that I registered for about two months ago. (cough) :)

Frankly, I can't wait. :) I already play and like a lot with the three apps you released.
Pocket Guitar, which I see you also have, right now is a better guitar but it looks like with Band you'll raise the bar and I strongly hope it will also allow us to play/improvise on the mp3s/aacs already playing on the iPod touch/iPhone.
