Deal Alert! Cheap refurb iPhones back at AT&T

Heads up boys and girls! Cheap refurbs are back at AT&T. These sell out really really fast. Pick up a 16 GB iPhone for just $349 or an 8GB for only $249. Free shipping and a (possible) full one year warranty--although last time this deal ran people were getting mixed results on that end. (Be sure to check out our previous post about checking your warranty coverage).
Yes, this is first generation. Yes, this is refurb. But why not buy yourself some time to let the 3G iPhone prices drop? The 1st gen iPhones will remain firmware compatible with any new Apple releases for a long time to come.
Thanks, Dan Parmelee

Hope some people can take advantage of this!
(reason I sent this is in so that there's less people to fight with over the 3G iPhone in June, hehe)

can I take the AT&T 3G SIM out of my company-provided Blackberry and put it in one of these and rock out?

Yes, but you need to be switched over to a non-Blackberry data plan. Blackberry devices use different data plans because of the proxy servers and push e-mail.

I laugh at my friend who paid full price for an 8GB iPhone just last night... and activated it.
He couldn't wait two weeks to see what happens!

And we'll be laughing at you if the 3G iPhone is subsidized to $200. :-)

I dont know what you mean... I paid for my iPhone last year so a subsidy won't really bother me!
you should laugh at him... That's why I posted it!

Oh, your comment wasn't entirely clear. I thought you laughed at him because he paid full price whereas you waited a couple weeks and paid less. :-)
My mistake.

Yay! Just ordered the wife an 8GB. She could care less about all this 3G nonsense, but will definitely be hyperjealous when I get home with mine, so I bought her one now to save money and nip the jealousy in the bud.

Looks like they sold out already. I went to the site earlier, and just checked again, and now they're gone. These things sell like hot cakes!

Note: the "free two day shipping" is deceptive. I got a tracking number this morning after ordering last night and it said my order has partially shipped. I'm thinking "partially? I only ordered one thing. How in the...?"
Anyway, the details page says they did NOT ship my phone, but DID ship the "AT&T Iphone Accessory." I did not order anything but the phone, and did not see anything on the page that suggested a free case or such. I suspect paperwork.
Not a great surprise, but I still hate being deceived.

I ordered one on 5/21, rec'd email confirmation with order number and a promise to deliver in 3-5 days. Called on the 28th to inquire about order which nobody could find and was eventually told by the 3 rd person that I should have received an accessory package the day before because it was delivered by DHL and signed by someone (never heard of that someone) and I rec'd nothing. Furthermore they told me they had the phones in stock but there was a problem with the shipper. The next day 05/29 I received an empty DHL overnight letter. Also, my bank account was debited the same day I ordered it and then the charge was removed. Good Lord!
