Apple posts iPhone 3G ad

During the Keynote Steve played the ad for the new iPhone 3G twice, and here is your change to do the same. Apple has posted the ad in glorious QuickTime for all to play. The ad features a peek into Apple's secret underground labs, and a look at the next generation iPhone cases (it may take two people to carry, but it sure is cool looking).

Don't know the name of the song but I'm pretty confident that it's by David Holmes, the guy who made the music for all three 'Ocean's' movies

You know what's funny? If we take the screens at the end literally, that phone just crashed and rebooted itself.

So, do you think Griffin will be shipping the dual-lock security case dock (used in this ad) as one of the first new iPod 3G accessories?

Hey, I can never find a paperclip when I need one, so having one in the box sounds good to me... Unless, OMG. APPLE REINVENTED THE PAPER CLIP!

Why does the back reflect in the video when it is now solid black or white plastic? I want the shiny metal iPhone they show in the video!

Is it me or does the actual screen size (visable LCD size) seem a bit smaller than the 2g phone?
If u look at the home button and the size of the blacked out bar at the bottom, compare that with your current i phone?

Also prob just a filming issue, but the quality of the screen on that ad looks a bit shit too?

Look at the specs, the new iPhone is actually 1.1 mm wider. :-)

Actually, the box for the iPhone 3G is visible on the Apple website. And I'm still a bit confused as to how the 5th Avenue film shoot plays into this commercial - perhaps it doesn't at all?

Oh, and I'm also very happy to see Twitterific listed as an iPhone app!

I believe if you look closely in the background of the last scene, (I know its tough, move your eyes from the phone) You will see a Genius Bar in the background, never been to the 5th Ave store, but I would imagine this is where it is.

Yes, but you've got to also remember that Apple created an entire store in a sound stage, unless there's something specific about the 5th Avenue Genius Bar that I'm missing (I've never been there)
