iPhone SDK NDA still in effect
NDAs (non-disclosure agreements) are very common in the high tech world. Companies routinely make journalists, developers, and employees sign them before disclosing any potentially sensitive information. The iPhone SDK has been under an NDA since its launch, and many developers had hoped that Apple would expire that NDA during WWDC, so that information could flow. A source tells us that the iPhone SDK NDA (try saying that five times fast) will not expire until the iPhone 2.0 firmware ships on July 11th. While this makes sense, it also certainly makes some people's lives just a little bit harder.

It's not like you guys seem to care about the NDA as it is, you've routinely broken it by posting new features and information that was strictly under NDA.

While this makes sense, It would be nice for Developers to hype up their applications before the launch.

I'm confused. What does the NDA actually cover that TUAW hasn't told us about anyway? Heck, with all the features revealed that will be in the 2.0 update, what's left to hide?
And no, don't tell me that's what an NDA is for. People spout off NDA info all the time so it's already leaked to the interwebs long before Apple ever says it in a Keynote.

Umm, the SDK is a free download — why does it matter?
