If you signed up for Download Day notifications, you'll receive this email as well and you can get your own cheesy certificate, suitable for framing (or not).
Since I downloaded Firefox 3, I've been enjoying some of the plugins that are now residing at the bottom of my browser (Twitterfox and the Accuweather Forecastfox plugin). Firefox 3 seems faster to me, and I like the way it displays sites that are using certificates by putting a wide, clickable banner in the address bar. What are your opinions about Firefox 3?

hate it :) j/k it's all good and everything but I went back to FF2 because of terrible scrolling in FF3... every page that has a background image doesn't scroll like butter :) it's choppy and slow.. hate it...

Any idea how to increase this poor scolling speed? It's really annoying :-( everything else is fantastic and much better than the current version of Safari.

About as good as FireFox 2, which means it is still the weakest of browsers in OS X.
Firebug is the only tool that makes it a "must-have" application.

Download a copy of Safari 4 Developer Preview...it has the web inspector that blows firebug out of the water IMO, and its VERY stable without being an official release.

I am very disappointed about the performance of the program. It locks up for some reason and sometimes the page doesn't load. I'll just stick to Safari till they come out with updates to fix the glitches.

I can't live without my extensions so Firefox is the browser for me. Firefox 3 is a good update in my opinion, a lot faster and now Aqua. My only problem is that whenever I quit the browser, it crashes. As I was trying to quit anyway, this isn't too much of an issue but it'd be nice if it was fixed.
It's a shame they disabled the crash reporter. Seems like they're shooting themselves in the foot. I think it was something to do with the fact that an Intel or Universal version isn't available, which seems a little silly when everything else in the software has been converted.

I hate it. It doesn't work with my iWeb page, despite every other browser does. It looks like an Ugly version of Safari.

I am sure you already know, but this script fixes this issue.

I had problems with my iWeb page as well, so I go it fixed. wish Apple or firefox would fix the problem, but this works for now. I am more of a Safari man myself, but if you want others to see your webpage, then you might want to get it fixed, since, as the numbers tell us, a lot of people use firefox. If you don't care, then forget I even mentioned it.

pretty good. Its faster, and more stable. I can't live without firebug and there are some other extensions I rely on, so I don't have much of a choice. The worst thing is the ui. The default interface is really bad, but the theme I use takes care of that, except that it doesn't show favicons in the tabs, which is lame. The form widgets are pretty bad too. I don't know why they won't just make it native os x ui code.

I'm using Minefield with the GrApple theme and couldn't be happier. No scrolling bugs for me and pages load quicker than safari.

I prefer forecastbar enhanced: it's the same weather bar, but with a big sexy radar display. I like the Firefox 3, although it's my backup browser now that Flock 2 beta is out, which of course is firefox 3, but all Flocky.

After using Firefox 3 and comparing with Opera 9.5, I can say that I love FF3 more than Opera, all plug-ins seems working correctly under FF3, meanwhile Opera doesn't give any more advantages like it used to.
And, yeah, I'm considering to frame my Firefox Certificate (http://javamilk.com/2008/07/03/i-did-it/)

I had to switch back to 2 because of weird anomalies - 3 won't show a formatting bar over text boxes in a site I use daily, and it doesn't support the del.icio.us toolbar.

I like Safari more, since it seems to be faster. However, I actually use Firefox (Minefield), because of its extensions.

IMO, FF3 is sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet - and that's on a G4-400 with an anemic 384mb of RAM (using OSX 10.4.11). Up to 50% faster than FF2, far smoother, and doesn't get upset at my having 30 or 40 tabs open at a time (as is the case as often as not).
Best. Firefox. Evar. Six stars out of five.
