Apple's iPhone developer NDA to expire tomorrow?

According to a recent TechCrunch post, iPhone developers have received an e-mail from the Apple mothership saying the iPhone developer NDAs (non-disclosure agreements; i.e. "hush hush notices") will expire tomorrow at 9 a.m. PST.

What does this mean? Well, it could mean that the AppStore and iPhone 2.0 software might be available to the public at that time as well. iTunes 7.7 has been rumored to be "right around the corner," and .Mac has already already started it's face-lift procedure.

We should note that this is definitely a rumor at this point. We have not been able to verify TechCrunch's rumor. In fact, our sources tell us that they have not received any such e-mail.

iTunes 7.7 is now out in Software Update!

Release notes:
"Use iTunes 7.7 to sync music, video, and more with iPhone 3G, and download applications from the iTunes Store exclusively designed for iPhone and iPod touch with software version 2.0 or later. Also use the new Remote application for iPhone or iPod touch to control iTunes playback from anywhere in your home — a free download from the App Store."

Use your iTouch/iPhone as remote...cool!

Has TUAW mentioned anything abt free Screenshot app for the iPhone/Touch yet? I won't want to upgrade to 2.0 if that's not available.

The Omni Group is releasing OmniFocus 1.1 on the 10th (tomorrow) with MobileMe Syncing and an iPhone version according to the notes in the patch that just went out tonight. So I'd say it's definite, the App Store will be live on the 10th with new firmware arriving as well.

iTunes 7.7 should arrive < 113 hours :P

Would be quite interesting... but Apple DOES usually keep their word on releases.

I WOULD love 2.0 a day early though... APPLE ARE YOU LISTENING?

I keep hitting refresh to see if there is any new tidbit of info to keep me up past my bedtime. I have been playing with ical and address book for the past couple of hours and I have learned about 10 new cool things that will be obsolete in about 4 hours.:)))))))

Seems likely, considering Australia will start selling iPhones at midnight (7 am pacific time), according to http://macworld.com.au/iphone/view/optus-to-open-doors-at-midnight-522, so it makes sense that iTunes 7.7, App Store and SU 2.0 will be available around that time.

It'd be nice to get confirmation from any iPhone devs, though.

Thats a very good point. Probably easier for Apple just to release it than try to keep its release on a regional basis.
