App Store now officially available
The App Store has been accessible for awhile now, but it is now official. Fire up your copy of iTunes and you'll be greeted with a new addition to the left hand navigation: App Store. As with the other sections of the iTunes Store you'll find a number of sections: New Apps, Top Apps, Top Free Apps, and more. The iPhone 2.0 firmware hasn't been released as of yet, but browsing the App Store should keep your mind off that for a little while.
What is the first app you're going to download?
Thanks to everyone who sent this in.

Because they're waiting for the global iPhone launch, not just the NZ one.

If it's not showing up, try clicking the iTunes STORE link above the navigation.

The AIM application won't let you change screen names or sign out once you sign into the App! This is ridiculous! It also doesn't utilize the Push service to allow you to receive IMs while the App isn't running. We had better functionality with Apollo!

AIM will let you sign out on exit (not sure about switching). You have to set that in settings (general settings for the iphone will now have an AIM item).
I think push will come when "the cloud" comes online...

If you've installed the AIM app, there's now an AIM section in the Settings app. You can change your account info and login settings there.
