Livestream of iPhone launch in the Netherlands
I have no idea why, but T-Mobile has livestreaming video of the iPhone 3G launch in the Netherlands (outside a T-Mobile shop in Rotterdam to be precise). If you're in a timezone where the iPhone isn't on sale yet, this might help you pass the time. Thanks, Edwin.

That's... weird.
Although it is more exciting than just one stationary webcam.

Just now I heard Daft Punk.

The music is fun to listen to, but I think the audio must be garbled; they sound like they're speaking some sort of moon language!

that's why it's silent disco;)
too bad for those people all the way in the back of the line, probably not enough phones to allow them to buy one too..

Based on what I'm seeing, the apps are tied to your iTunes account and download from the phone/pod back to iTunes. So, my assumption would be that if you got an iPhone the apps would work without repurchasing.

Leo Laporte is LIVE with the '24 hours of iPhone' right now on http://twitlive.tv . He started earlier today and will continue to accept Skype calls from people reporting from the iPhone lines across the world as the phones become available until tomorrow when the final iPhone location is open in Hawaii. He is recording a podcast right now but when he is done, the iPhone coverage will truly kick in nonstop through tomorrow. Really entertaining, and a great way to wait for the iPhone to be available in your time zone.

Well, T-Mobile has certainly got their pr right here in the Netherlands. There's a famous VJ presenting the live broadcast (well ehm.. sometimes) Quirky audio is due to the flash-stream.

Bald guy was first in line (http://www.iphoneclub.nl/7978/iphone-3g-eerste-mensen-in-de-rij-voor-t-mobile-nachtopening-rotterdam/)
He had been waiting since 9.30 am. Lot of press. They asked him some dumb questions like 'what's the first thing you're going to do?' 'Well, ehm... charge it?'
Nice party though. I should've been there. Supplies of the iPhone seem very low at various stores.
