Found Footage: Blending an iPhone 3G
Sure, we all worry about dropping our precious electronics (like our iPhones, iPods and Macs), however, the folks at Blendtec laugh in the face of danger. That's because they tend to blend things. Very expensive things. Like this iPhone 3G.

Why is everyone hating so much on this? It's just a way for them to advertise (and a good way in my opinion), and no one is making you watch it. They don't "blow iPhones up with lasers" because they sell blenders, not lasers. Just chill out.

If you paid attention, you would know they belnd everything from lighters to golf clubs. It is a great marketing tool. Who cares if they did this to the new iPhone. I thought it was funny. If they have the money to buy one, they can do whatever the hell they want to it.....period!

July 17 2008 at 1:10 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyI think it's plain stupid. Never mind that they're out of stock all over - there'll be more. But, isn't there better ways to spend 199$ (plus the phone bill, I assume) than on blending things?

It held up like a champ for the first few seconda! During that slow-mo segment they had. Imagine how that damage translates to real life abuse.
Blendtec is awesome. I love these stunts. It is amazing the things those blenders are able to handle. Obviously these "stunts" are great advertisements for the company as well. Keep up the good work guys.
July 17 2008 at 11:19 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyAnd when you consider that their low-end blender costs $400, blending a $200 phone doesn't seem so crazy. I want an iPhone 3G, but I *really* want a Blendtec blender. Gotta convince the fiancée that we need to register for one.
