Take a virtual tour of Infinite Loop

Join TUAW as we go on a weekend road trip to Apple's campus at 1 Infinite Loop. No, not really, but we can always take a virtual visit to Apple HQ thanks to Google Maps Street View, now that Google has finally completed their street level photography of Infinite Loop.

This allows you to see the buildings in their full grandeur. Unfortunately, you cannot visit the legendary Apple Company Store. To start your virtual road trip, click here.

Been there, done that. I got some sweet swag from the company store. I have the Apple branded water bottle sitting next to me on the coffee table. I also got a keychain and a shirt that says "I visited the Mothership".

If you go down the road just a bit, you CAN visit the legendary Apple Company Store. The doors at least....

I just went here in June and I have to say it's a pretty cool place. They have cool shirts, overpriced pens, and overpriced notebooks. The shirts aren't priced too bad though. I thought it was cool seeing wwdc shirts and the "I visited the mothership shirt."

Who cares about 1 Infinite Loop. Growing up, I used to ride my bike around the parking garage during the HQ construction. Real nerds will know the hallowed halls of Apple when they used to only exist on Bubb Road.

Large buildings, Parking lot, Trees, Looks like any other campus... Would be more interested to tour the insides of these buildings not the outside...

Did I miss something? Why is the company store "infamous"?

I've been inside the campus, eaten at the lunch hall (nice selection by the way), visited the piano room (it may still be there), and milled about some other buildings. You could have a nice game of volleyball in their "quad". The company store is nice because of all the branded items that are not sold in normal Apple retail stores.
