iPhone Firmware 2.0.2 is available
A new iPhone software update just hit iTunes. Version 2.0.2 is described as a bug fix release with little additional information. As usual, a version can be downloaded directly from Apple's servers or through iTunes. And, as always, this update will de-pwn your iPhone, should you have previously pwned it for command-line shell access and third-party Cydia applications.

the folks at engadget are already "confirming" higher signals in the 3G network and better performance...ill stick w/ 2.0.1 jailbroken for now :P

Hmm... decisions. I only jailbroke 2.0.1 about a week ago. Seems I've had to do a reinstall every week since I've owned the thing LOL. And we know how long those take...
Now that I've finally got tethering working right, I may want to stay jailbroken. I had no idea what people were talking about with "3G problems" as I'd been working in the Boston area since I bought the phone. Just came home to NYC yesterday and the 3G has hardly been working at all. Maybe this is it, or something else. I don't know, but it's pissing me off, and if an update fixes it, that's better than tethering. Tethering's no good anyway if you don't have a signal.

Didn't do anything for my 3G reception..went from 5 bars with 2G to zero bars no connection with 3G. Hopefully SOMETHING got improved!

hmmmmmm, interesting, the reception of mine is better now... in my office: from 1 bar to 3 bars... I discuss about this problem with a friend friday, I was really disappointed.

That would be appreciated. 2.0.1 *did* kill my iPhone 3G. iTunes: Unknown error (1604). Apple Store replaced it. Now I'm going to wait until there's a problem I suffer that is fixed, or until copy/paste :)

I saw it state "Upgrading Firmware on this iPhone".
So let me see....
Had 4 bars of 3G Before.....Still have 4 bars of 3G.
Guess it didn't take.
