iPhonexe offers alternative App Store search
A few weeks ago, I wrote about the sorry state of global search in iTunes. Basically, the iTunes Store has grown so large that it's difficult to find what you're after. Type something into the search field and you'll see results for albums, podcasts, movies, TV season, apps and more. Stop the insanity!iphonexe is offering a solution for the App Store. They've got 3,000 titles sorted by category. Enter the name of your target application and you're brought to a results page with a summary, version number, screenshots and an App Store (sponsored) link.
They've also got a directory of jailbroken apps which works the same way. It's not the solution I'm looking for, but does limit search results to iPhone/iPod touch apps.

Another option is to use whatsoniphone.com, we index the whole app list and also provide reviews and ratings for the apps... :)

I just use pinchmedia's RSS feeds for new and updated apps.

Apptism will be launching next Monday - http://www.apptism.com.
You can search, sort, and filter among the 2,000+ iPhone apps in the App Store. Apptism is basically an app activity aggregator - collecting news, reviews, and media from various sources.
In addition, you'll be able to compare apps, add email/SMS alerts, and a whole lot more!

I have been using http://www.igoapps.com
It has the full listing of apps and shows any price changes. Also I can create an apps list to share with my friends with iphones, so we can see what each other has bought.
