Adium 1.3.1 released
It was just last week when our favorite multi-service instant messaging client was updated. Now Adium has been updated to 1.3.1. While there aren't any major new features in this version, some big bug fixes improves the application's usability. Here's some of the major bug fixes in this version:
- Facebook timing out when attempting to connect is now fixed
- Avatar not updating in open message windows after change is now fixed
- Stopped Adium from crashing when updating an account password
Thanks, Eric!

September 09 2008 at 10:58 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down Replyis anyone else having trouble with the group (online to offline) count ?!
since i updated to 1.3 it only shows the total count of every group !! the view>show group visible/total count doesn't make any difference .. !
it's a shame the facebook thing wasnt working early on...i'll be testing this newer feature with this new build because i really hated having facebook log me out and facebook's chat is inferior imo

September 09 2008 at 2:15 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyIs anyone else still having loads of trouble logging into MSN via Adium nowadays. I've gone through old versions of Adium and the problem remains, so I'm guessing it's a problem on Microsoft's part, but still. Does anyone still experience that error?
"Error: Unable to authenticate: Unable to connect"
The process stops at the step "Getting cookie".
Hey Jarred,
I'm having the exact problem as you and have been unable to connect to adium using leopard for the last few months. its getting ridiculous!
:( :(
found anything out about possible fixes? i think theres some stuff you can do in the terminal of os x but not sure if that even works anymore.
Although I love Adium and use it everyday, I have to agree with DistortedLoop on this one... No video chat means that I have to switch to aMSN (which is painful to look at) when I need to video conference with colleges.

September 09 2008 at 8:08 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyYeah man Pidgin is more than capable when you have to work on other platforms. Both Adium and Pidgin are based on libpurple so they are very similar in that regard as well.
September 09 2008 at 9:33 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyAdium will remain a second rate option in my opinion until it natively supports video-chat...
