Star Wars: The Force Unleashed hits the App Store
Back in July, we got our first glimpse of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed for the iPhone. In the demo, the game seemed to make clever (although possibly somewhat distracting) use of the touch screen. In the end, we were eager to try it out.Today, we finally can. Star Wars: The Force Unleashed is now available in the App Store [link]. As of this writing there are only four user reviews written, but each gives the game a four-star rating. It sells for $9.99US.
We're going to begin playing with this immediately, so check back soon for our full review. Star Wars in your pocket? What more could you want?

Got the game, played the game, enjoyed the game. Well worth the $10 for sure, although I have to say it could have been a lot cooler. Why don't the cinematics have nicer pre-rendered graphics? And why no voiceover?
Overall though, great game, a lot of fun.
I'm a big, geeked-out Star Wars fan. I actually found the link early yesterday on a Star Wars fan site, if that gives you a better idea ;-).
I'd recommend playing it on "hard" difficulty if you're a big gamer. I finished the game last night on "easy". But it really was a blast.
I'm stuck at the four scout troopers on the hill...not fun when your stuck so early on in the game...

September 16 2008 at 6:19 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyI was tempted to hit the App store this morning before work, but I didn't damn it! Now I'll have to do the only reasonable thing... leave work early to go download a new game to my iPhone. :D
Seriously though, this is probably the first iPhone game that I've actually been looking forward to.
I too, have bought it. Seems tasty, should give me something to do till the next episode of Toy Bot Diaries comes along.

Apple should have a return-policy for apps that were downloaded less than 24 hours ago.
Great game. Level 5, I come.
