Star Wars: The Force Unleashed hits the App Store
Back in July, we got our first glimpse of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed for the iPhone. In the demo, the game seemed to make clever (although possibly somewhat distracting) use of the touch screen. In the end, we were eager to try it out.Today, we finally can. Star Wars: The Force Unleashed is now available in the App Store [link]. As of this writing there are only four user reviews written, but each gives the game a four-star rating. It sells for $9.99US.
We're going to begin playing with this immediately, so check back soon for our full review. Star Wars in your pocket? What more could you want?

Well, I just finished the first two levels, and I must say I am highly impressed. It's like playing a watchable movie... and don't be fooled by the Demo that was posted last month, the controls and puzzles are far more interesting as the game progresses.
Definitely worth the cost for me :)

...or maybe they just went to the appstore themselves

Or maybe not, since when this was posted the only way to view it was with a direct link...

What more could we want? Um, a mac version, perhaps?

You can check more than just the US app store when looking for reviews on new apps (US has four, Canada has five, UK one, the rest zero)

Well I'd have to say I find it much more fun than that X-Plane 9 crap. Waste of $10. Bad recommendation from TUAW.
Apple should have a return-policy for apps that were downloaded less than 24 hours ago.

Refund policy for downloadable content. Thanks for the laugh.

Refund policy on a downloadable game, now thats my biggest laugh of the day so far!

I think it would be best if they made the process the same as when you rent a movie. You get to download the game for free and you have 24 hours from the time you first play it to decide if you like it. They are already using the technology.

or Apple could just use their infamous remote app killer once you are refunded.

first app I've paid for. The sight unseen thing has stopped me until now, but the possibility of a decent Star Wars game is just too much to let slide. Let's hope it's $10 well-spent.

I was tempted to hit the App store this morning before work, but I didn't damn it! Now I'll have to do the only reasonable thing... leave work early to go download a new game to my iPhone. :D
Seriously though, this is probably the first iPhone game that I've actually been looking forward to.
