First Look: JetSet 1.1 for iPhone
BriteMac has announced special pricing for their JetSet iPhone expense tracker to celebrate the release of the update to version 1.1. Through October 6th, you can purchase JetSet 1.1 for US$4.99, five dollars off of the regular App Store (click opens iTunes) price of US$9.99.There are a number of other expense managers for iPhone, but I use JetSet for some specific features -- the ability to capture iPhone photos of receipts and attach them to expenses, being able to export expense information to Google spreadsheets or to Excel, and global expense views that "package" expenses that are for a particular project or trip.
JetSet also has 15 major expense categories, visible in the screenshot here, as well as well over 100 subcategories. This speeds up data entry since it's usually not necessary to type in category names.
If you're not using JetSet for expense tracking, what do you use? Leave us a comment.

So do iphone photos of receipts count as the real thing should an audit occur?

probably would be safer to keep the actual receipt

As I leave tomorrow morning for a week-long trip to Dallas I'll let you know what I think. This does seem to meet my needs as a the great majority of my expenses are related to travel. I always seem to short-change myself on the little things like tips and tolls; I hope this helps.

One major thing missing here, where is the support for currencies not dollar driven?

This site should change its name to The Unofficial iPhone Weblog. If you don't own an iPhone, there is virtually no reason to come here anymore.

I totally agree with you Rob. Please buy an iPhone or stay the hell away.

That's not true. Everything on here except the picture taking is applicable to the iPod touch also. Unfortunately, The Unofficial Apple Touch Device Blog doesn't have the same ring...

Greetings,
We're working on adding currency support in an upcoming update.
JetSet is a business expense reporting tool--it is not a competitor to Pennies (Austin is a friend of mine). Pennies is for tracking your personal expenses. JetSet is for turning in expense reports for reimbursement from your company.
Hope that helps! Thanks TUAW!

I use moneytrackin.com , they have a mobile interface too.
The best out there, only a pity they seem to have stopped developing.

TIP: befre you buy this app... take the time to read the reviews. There ate a lot of 1-star reviews claiming this application is useless and the 5-star reviews are fake.
I would nevver buy an app with these kind of extreem positive and negative reviews.

I wrote one of the "fake" 5-star reviews and I stand by that review. JetSet was fantastic when I traveled last months.
The 1-star review people are idiots.

I am trying iXpenseit on the recommendation of a colleague. It looks to be what I need, except it doesn't appear to have the capability to enter and convert other currencies.
I'm loving the iPhone, but there are still a number of things I could do with my Palm PDA that are not quite there yet on the iPhone.

I use iExpenseIt which does allow me to use GBP, SEK and Euro. Downside is that I need to manually record which client or project code I am billing in each entry as need to report expenses by who is to reimburse (or not) and reporting by date doesn't give enough breakdown. May try JetSet when multiple currencies are avaliable.

I've really tried to find the totally correct area to post this question, but sadly, failed. I have about 100 applications / icons on my iPhone. Is there any way to make / import empty folders, name them and place the individual programs into them, thereby sorting those programs and making them easier to find? Maybe page one could be like an index, where one can chose the next step.
