Apple's iPhone Tech Talk World Tour
Earlier this month, Apple dropped the non-disclosure agreement that prevented iPhone software developers from publicly discussing the details of their work, saying "...the NDA has created too much of a burden on developers, authors and others interested in helping further the iPhone's success."Developers and would-be developers were pleased, and several shared what they had learned right away.
Prior to this change, Apple announced a series of iPhone Tech Talks for several cities in the US. Now, that program has expanded into the iPhone Tech Talk World Tour. Developers in 24 cities across North America, Europe, India and Asia Pacific can attend workshops like "Introduction to Objective-C and Cocoa Touch" and "iPhone Game Development Technologies."
The New York session is already booked (sessions are free for ADC members), so register while you can. Have fun, good luck and drop us a line when your application is ready!

Sucks that there is nothing in the Southeast. New York is already full also. Something in Atlanta would be in high demand.

My only complaint about this is there isn't going to be one in Phoenix, AZ. I know that it would be very difficult to get every single city, but as one of the largest cities out there (5th: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_United_States_cities_by_population), yet Austin, TX (see above link, ranked 16th) I do feel slighted by this.
Anyone else have similar feelings about this?

Now that on October 1 Apple dropped the restrictive non-disclosure agreement that prohibited the teaching the SDK a few New York City developers are offering classes in iPhone application development around the country and abroad.
Taking the lead a group of New York iPhone developers who formed the iPhone Bootcamp in New York created a meetup in New York City for iPhone developers. In mid-November they offered their first workshop in basic iPhone development, taught by leading NYC iphone developer Alex Cone, CEO of CodeFab and Chief Engineer at Medialets, a creative ad network for native mobile applications.
On December 13th and 14th two more workshops are scheduled for both basic and advanced iPHone Development. The goal is to train developers in iPhone Development and then spin a company off the training so the developers can work full time on the apps.
Currently the IPhone Bootcamp NYC is offering a discounted Early-bird rate.
