Updated and can no longer delete mail from the Iphone. Have to delete email from the computor then update the phone. Any suggestions. As with most products they will probably improve it until it no longer works.

I am using an official unlocked phone (via Hong Kong) in Shanghai, China and I can report that with 2.2 firmware the google maps and location services are now working.
Previously the google maps app was not working properly and location services pretty much did nothing.
Maybe a precursor to a China release??? Cheers!
I don't know if this has been stated or not, but 2.2 improves reception on the phone. I can now make calls in my school's cafeteria which located below the school.

Quickly found suitable site cost â¬17 downloaded a couple of files, followed instructions and after about 2.5hrs now have a perfectly working 3g iphone with 2.2 update. Now works better than before as previously i could not use the ipod although itunes itself worked.

November 23 2008 at 9:07 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyThis update actually made my iphone worse!! Almost a minute to connect to wifi evrytime it goes to sleep. I had an iphone 3g i bought at launch and that phone connected instantly. That phone was lost/stolen so I had to buy a new one & that wouldnt connect at all to wifi so I exchanged it for the phone I have now. It used to take 5-10 seconds but after this update it takes half a minute at least if not more. Any suggestions before I take it to the apple store/restore it. And no its not my router or have to change my settings because my gf's iphone and my original iphone worked just fine.

- Like MMS (AT&Ts web page for MMS is horrible)
- Vibrate then Ring
- the ability to keep alerting me when I miss a calender reminder.. I've missed meetings because I didn't hear the one little ding it does
Its a great phone, but there's these little things they could add that'd make it perfect.. I guess they got to leave features to trickle out to keep us interested in it.
And where's the notification system the were going to make available to developers?
Beauty: chromeless web apps now support landscape mode. Now, if only Hahlo weren' having hosting issues...
Chromeless web apps still seem to have issues with links, though.
To answer my own question, the phone can be updated with a separate computer's iTunes. Just did it and and didn't lose any of my data. It performed a backup and installed the update without issue.
