Sneak Preview - Freeverse Flick Fishing 1.2
Wow, it seems like only a few weeks ago our very own Mike Schramm was telling us about Flick Fishing, a new fishing simulation game from Freeverse. They've let us know that version 1.2 of this great game will be available soon in the App Store (click opens iTunes - note that version 1.2 may not be available yet). What goodies did Freeverse pack into the latest incarnation of this US$0.99 bargain? The list is extensive:
- New fish
- New locations
- Quest modes
- Fishing tournaments
- Easter eggs!
As with Flick Bowling, another title in the Freeverse Flick Sports line, Flick Fishing is a blast to play and it's cheap. Check out the gallery for fun screenshots!

1.2 seems way too easy.
Catching fish in the previous version was actually a challenge. Reel, slack, reel slack, etc... In 1.2 I've had no tension whatsoever. I just landed a 345lb sailfish without letting out a bit of line. The challenge is what keeps me coming back addictively, I don't want to just reel in fish after fish without a fight on my hands.
am i missing something here? i already own the game so i went to the app store to see if the new 1.2 update was out yet... but nothing except the page already says version 1.2 posted november 6...? huh? is this just me?

My 7 year old and I find this to be our most often played iPhone game. (My phone not hers, because you know some troll would say "WTF your 7 year old has an iPhone? No, but she is getting a Touch for X-mas)
Make sure tutorial mode is switched off and then double tap the lighthouse in the "go fishing" map ;)

ehm, I think you guys missed to write ADVERTISEMENT above the post.
TUAW seems to have a serious hardon for Freeverse software and games. The reasoning behind it is beyond me,as most of Freeverse software on OS X is bloated junk. Advertisement indeed.

I'm really looking forward to the update. This looks like a fantastic update.
It is a totally stupid game, but I love it, too.
