First Look: Will It Blend? for iPhone and iPod touch
Apparently I'm not the only person who loves to watch the Blendtec "Will It Blend?" videos on YouTube. The company reports that the video series has had over 100 million views so far, making it one of the more successful viral marketing campaigns. Now you can see the top 20 "Will It Blend?" episodes in all their high quality color glory, thanks to a new app of that name. Treat yourself and friends to the thrill of Tom Dickson (right) feeding an iPhone 3G into a Blendtec blender in higher quality than you've ever seen it before.
Other favorites -- iPod, glow sticks, and Chuck Norris, to name a few -- are included as well. What's great is that you don't need a 3G or Wi-Fi connection to download these wonderful videos, as they're built into the app.
The US$1.99 app (click opens iTunes) will soon feature the ability to blend anything in your iPhoto Library. It currently updates with new videos on a regular basis, and features links to all other episodes in the classic series. The developer, iAppsNow, is offering the app on sale for only US$0.99 through the end of the year.
What would you blend if you were Tom Dickson? Let us know!

Haha. I spelled YouTube incorrectly...

I have a thing against paying for apps that are just advertisements. Blendtec, of course, wants you to buy a Blendtec blender.

I feel sorry for anyone who doesn't have an iPhone/iPod touch but visits this site in hopes of finding out about Mac software. Not only is every single story about the iPhone, but apparently nothing in the Mac software universe is worth talking about over some stupid Will It Blend app.
Crack job as always, TUAW.

There is a little button at the top: "iPhone" with a strikethrough, you know.

Yeah no doubt. I mean, if only they would post about software for the Mac for Pet Management.
C'mon TUAW, get with the program.
(sarcasm tag added for the fucking retarded)

Yet you obviously read one of their sites. What's the point of publicly complaining about this story and others when you obviously find some value in their work, at least enough to waste your time here?
If this doesn't appeal to you, simply ignore and move on!

This blurs the border of buying videos in the Itunes Media Store or in the App Store, right?!

I am so sick of these stupid "will it blend?" videos, right along with those morons who smash stuff. Why is this entertaining at all? Good lord.... can't people think of better things to do or better ways to advertise?

Why waste space and insult the intelligence of readers with crap like this; suitable perhaps, for those under twelve years of age?

Erm, it says in the post: over a hundred million views. Hence, a popular series. Hence, people seem to like it. Hence, for all the people with intellects far too supirior than the rest of us lowley mortals, it's something that people might want to read about on, say, some sort of 'entertainment web-log'?
(ps the iPhone-free feed's there for a reason)

Ha! I have one of these blenders and I work in a school with k-5 kids. For a special treat I brought it in and we blended a board game, some legos, a milk carton, a fruit cup and a juice box. They had a ball and they wanted to try the board game shake but I could not let them.
They wanted me to blend my iPhone but I had to say no. I did not want to blend any electronics as it was in the school and the last thing I needed was for some toxic chemical to be released by something inside.
If you work at a Starbucks I say give it a try after hours, it is a load of fun!
