'Rock Paper Scissors' for iPhone and iPod touch
If you've ever had an argument with someone about who gets to play Rockband first or had to decide who gets the coveted "shotgun" seat in the car, this application is for you. Released this week by Zerion Software, Rochambeau for the iPhone and iPod touch settles these kinds of arguments the old-fashioned way -- with rock, paper or scissors.A bit of info from Zerion's press release about the game:
The new game is based on the classic version of game play, but is far from the run-of-the-mill variety. Choose one of the cartoon characters and play against the capable computer adversary, or one of your friends on your AIM buddy list. Shake your iPhone or iPod touch to make your moves, and then watch the game unfold with creative animation and sound effects. Choose your cartoon player and play against the capable 'bot' or friends across the globe.
Some of the game's features include local or online play, two online play modes, AIM chat support, multiple character selection, different game lengths, different settings for shake sensitivity and it works over EDGE, 3G or WiFi.
Rochambeau for iPhone and iPod touch is free (but ad-supported) and available through Apple's App Store. Check it out.

Yeah but is it the lame 3 item version or did they go whole hog and give us RPS 113
Yeah there is a RPS 113, with 113 items like fire, roaches, nuclear weapons and the like.
That's why I'm selling my iPhone and getting and Android. It's sad that in such a short time the Android is already getting useful applications.

Don't get me wrong, as a Mac user I was a huge fan of the iPhone when it came out. But it's just so restrictive that it loses functionality.
Or... you could use your hands.
January 10 2009 at 3:55 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down Replythe iPhone is the smartest phone around, yet devs create BS apps like this one and especially iFart. I really dont understand how an app like iFart can tops the chart and make so much money. Does this means that they had a killer marketing strategy or does this tells us something different about iPhone users? The funny thing is that apple declined a series of similar apps early last yr because because they "lacked tasteâ and now this is happening. Apple is not allowing things like adobe flash ( or "its not ready" ) but they allow apps like this. This is very disappointing :(

Way to add some spam at the end!
January 10 2009 at 5:14 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyI think if you've added a reasoned response to the topic that is clearly more than just copy and pasted, then it's perfectly acceptable to link to one of your sites at the end of your post, especially if you aren't deceptive about where the link leads.
Also, why do I have to click a confirmation email even when I post using "Returning" and input my email and password? And why does TUAW's iPhone site not allow you redirect to view the full site (clicking the link takes you back to the iPhone site)? Is it me, or does TUAW have no way to send concerns like these to the site itself, rather than spamming the comments with them?
